Anyone else having trouble getting a simple sac bunt down? I have yet to get one down with my pitcher that didnt result in a double play and its starting to get annoying as hell. I can get the pitcher simply missing it but this constant double play off of a sac bunt thing is just getting ridiculous at this point. Is there a trick to this? I shouldnt have to start the runner at first like its a hit and run just to avoid a double play when Im merely trying to bunt the guy over in the first place, makes it near impossible to play small ball.

Chef- I have not seen this at all. Got about 20 games in and have sac bunted quite a bit. Not sure why you would be getting those kind of results, but I'm sure it is very frustrating.Comment

So, with the release of the new 1.04 patch regarding the pitching logic, do any of these sliders need to be adjusted?Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Armor I need advice on what to do in my situation. I seem to have problems connecting on breaking pitches, so I am considering lowering offspeed pitch speed to maybe 3. Will this give me a better chance at hitting those? It's one of the reasons I only put up 4 hits a game. I strike out too often on those pitches. Also, I don't know if it because I am playing as the Mets, but the pitching dominance is just too high when I play. I rarely have a bad game. Maybe I need to play more, but that is what I am seeing.Comment

The METS have a lot to do with it. The Mets ptchers are awesome and their pitch arsenal are tricky. Off speed pitches are hard to hit but less speed may make it harder because the ball will break even slower.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Hey Armor, I am just about set to go with my Yankees franchise started(Dynasty page as well, shameless plug!), and I have one question: I plan on using quick-counts so that I can play out every game, will this in any way affect the sliders? My guess is no, but I'm just making sure.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
I am getting very few strikeouts against the CPU pitchers. I have pitch speed at 5 for fastballs and 7 for off speed. I am playing on all-star should I move up to the next level or increase pitch speed. I thought about lowering contact also. Need some suggestions. ThanksComment

I think you could maybe try HOF. This years game is like a whole difficulty easier then ever before and on all star I only strike out like 2-4 times a game. I have been playing on HOF to start my franchise a few days ago and I am still hitting alright but I am striking out more which is good.Comment

I just switched to Veteran Hitting because I couldn't muster up any hits on All-Star. Hopefully it works wellComment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
I'm just not getting any offense for some reason.
In the last 3 games...I pitched a 1-hit shutout and won 1-0. Lost 1-0 with only 3 hits and won 3-2 in 15 innings. It was 1-1 after 9 with both teams only having 3 hits. I'm last in almost all hitting categories and 1st in most pitching categories.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Hi Armour. I think it speaks volumes as to how good this game is as we all seem to have different "problems". Some hit too well, while others struggle. For some AllStar is too easy and some find it too hard, etc.
I'm curious as to how your Yankees franchise is progressing as I play as the Yankees as well. Did you start over after raising contact to 6? I'm assuming you are much farther along in your franchise than I am.
Now to my question. I'm 6-0 to start the year and I haven't given up more than 3 runs in a game against 2 pretty good offences - Astros and Tigers. I am waiting (hoping) to get clobbered one game but it hasn't happened yet. It's not that I'm pitching well as I add no human "skill" whatsoever. I listen to the catcher 100% of the time and simply tap x. Are you seeing this as well?
If I wanted to give the cpu more offense, what would you recommend? Increasing contact to 7? Keeping contact at 6 and increasing timing to 6? Increase timing to 6 and increase solid hits to 5? Do I need to do anything? Have you considered any other slider adjustments to improve cpu hitting? Is it even necessary?
I certainly hope my Yankees advance to the World Series, but so far I feel that I might not be challenged enough. I have tried the HOF experiment a few times and, like you found that HOF was not for me, in particular with relievers getting unrealistically shelled.
I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks in advance.Yankees modern day
