Yet I've tried classic pitching on HOF on several separate occasions and my pitchers, in particular my relievers, can't get anybody out. Cpu hits everything, even pitches at their shoelaces. I've read posts from other users on this thread that had the same problem and concluded that AllStar is the best level for classic pitching.

I've been playing on HOF pitching, with human control and consistency at 2. Through 12 games, I have only given up more than 4 runs one time. I'm starting to consider dynamic difficulty. This is with the Astros staff.

I switched to HOF and gave up 11 runs in my last two games (against the Pirates). Once I get adjusted I should be fine. For anyone have trouble with the lack of CPU offense, bump up to HOF instead of changing a ton of sliders.

I did the same but was still giving up too many runs so I just dropped CPU solid hits down to 4

Heck, I see that on All-Star. One hitter swung at a pitch that almost hit him, he couldn't even finish the swing animation, and it was a lined shot down the line for a double.

My adventures with HoF+ for Classic are like yours - decent for SP but relievers got slaughtered.

              I tip my cap to people who find it easy. When I'm giving up 4 R on 10 H in 6 innings and missing locations with a 95 H/9, 80 BB/9 pitcher, I don't think that's easy.

I wish I was getting slaughtered like you guys are. I am at the point where I feel guilty if I have a good game on offense.

Right now I have CPU hitting sliders at 6, 5, 4, 0 and 6 ....if I keep giving up a lot of runs I might drop solid hits down some. I wanna get my teams ERA above 3.00 first. Armor and Sword, I hope we aren't derailing your slider thread.

No....carry on. I am done with settings (been so for a long time now)....playing the crap out of my Cardinals fantasy franchise.

It's a base set....and people can discuss and do whatever tweaks are needed for pithing and hitting. It is not a one size fits all thing.

Good luck on HOF with classic pitching. I, and others on this thread, tried HOF after thinking AllStar was too easy. I found my starters could pitch decently, but once I put in a reliever I couldn't get anybody out. Relievers like Miller, Betances and Chapman were just getting shelled to a point where I had to go back to AllStar. Now I need to find the right sliders to give me a "hard" AllStar in order to give me a realistic challenge. I'm going to try cpu contact at 7, power at 6 and timing and solid hits at 5. However, I am getting very frustrated in dealing with sliders this year, especially as I have this stupid thought that I need to start my franchises over again every time I make a slider adjustment. I have played the first 2 series of the season over and over and over again. If these adjustments don't work I may end up going back to 2015 as I was getting the variety of games that I am desperately looking for in this year's version.

HOF isn't as bad as it seems. I used HOF from'13-'14, but went back to AS last year. Like P.A.D. said, its like SCEA made the difficults a little easier in '16. This year I can't get any offense from the CPU at all. Through 35 games, I had a team ERA of about 2.70, thrown 5 shut outs, and had only given up like 20 home runs....with the Reds! I'm not great at the Show by any means but I do want it to be challenging. I'm going to give it a few more games on HOF and see how it goes.

Edit: Phillies just crushed my pitching in my 3rd game on HOF...9 runs on 16 in 10 innings. Not to mention I blew a 2 run lead in the 9th. I wish I could find some middle ground here.

Try the set up I'm using on AS classic .. I have the control on 4 and consistency on 1 you miss your spots more which is more realistic and I get rocked with good and bad pitchers. . I'm curious to see others results

I have HUM control at 3 and consistency at 0. Still couldn't get anything from the CPU.

I share your frustration. I can't find my sweet spot. Your latest game in your previous post is exactly what a lot of us experienced on HOF. Starters are okay, relievers are getting pounded and can't hold leads. I haven't had a chance to try the slider adjustments I mentioned in my previous post, but I'm hoping (okay praying) that they give me the challenge and results I'm looking for. I've played this game since it first came out and I've never been more frustrated than I am now. I want to enjoy the game so badly, but every time I play I feel disappointed. I will let you know how my first few games go with my latest slider adjustments

Weird, I'm at 4/4 and can get torched, especially if my pitchers get into that "groove" of throwing everything down the middle and/or missing by a foot or more.

Not sure why the experiences are so different.
