This is precisely how you should be pitching with this set and with this game.

Agreed. I'm just seeing them take some unbelievable pitches when I'm ahead in the count. I'm about 55-60% strikes and about 50-55 first pitch. Just gotta get better at executing my pitches I guess.

First game in about a week. Meh, life! Lol

v2.4 (i used quick counts for the 1st time in my franchise this year. I want to try and get caught up to the current date quickly.)

Mike, do you use 30 team control? I thought I would try not to and let the league live on its own but like the Cubs bench Addison Russell to start the season. Do you just let it be and let them figure it out or do you fix that?

IDEA: not sure how I will piece this together or what may affect this. I think it will make CPU pitcher more dynamic and might even open hitting map for users.


This is mike Lowe hit chart from today's stream. Now as I'm thinking each user is different and so each players given chart could vary. Been watching his streams this year and consistently noticed; this his hit chart as always tightly compacted. (Small nucleus) compared to overall zone



Here is the hit chart for the CPU / now they have sprays all over the place: out of zone/ in zone. Maybe I am anal about how the two look, but its something that has happened multiple occasions. AGAIN THIS COULD ALL JUST BE MIKES APPROACH AT PLATE; vs how he uses his hitters

But I think it could be a pitch slider thing.
You know USER pitching is very difficult you are punished wit control. We try to paint and edges and miss and get that part of zone or worse. But it similulates real pitching. Consistent ; but you cannot exactly say where in the zone you will put it every time.

Theory: would this change if CPU had matched user sliders. Boosted consistency; low control; strike frequency at default

Will CPU pitching change across board where you will see them paint or try to force a chase and miss in the zone?

I'm going to test this.

If it's a managerial decision, whether I agree with it or not, I let it be. If it's clearly a glitch in the game that I can prevent, I'll go in and tinker.

I can definitely say this is 100% to due with my approach. I look/feast on mistake pitches, and I'm very selective. This is also how I work the count; if a pitcher can paint the corners all night, so be it, but he has to prove it to my first.

I've had AI consistency at 3 for a few years now and have no plans to move it. It's perfect there. It's the slider that will actually produce the correct amount of HBP, something most folks forget to think about, but it does have an impact on your team's OB%.
