So with 8 days before the trade deadline the braves make a huge trade to bolster up their pitching staff. They send Josh Harrison who they trade for earlier in the season and Lucas Simms upping coming prospect to the houston astros for Dallas Keuchel. In his 1st game is a brave he pitches 8 shutout innings to shut down the nationals To prevent the national from sweeping the braves. The brave now trail the nationals by 5.5 feet but with their new Ace and looking forward to the stretch run. The trades league wide are coming fast and furious. I'm loving it

So I'm getting a bit bored of classic. Nothing wrong with it, first season using it and been enjoying it a ton. Just fancied changing things up a bit. Anyone else using these settings but with Pulse? Useless with meter and don't want to learn analog, pulse was always my go to on previous editions, but always had pinpoint control with it. Any tips or hints or are people just rolling with the OP and pulse?

Look to see if a set has settings for the input you want to roll with and use those as a base for your pitching sliders. I've done this and the past and it's been fine. Just a few clicks in any direction should do it, if needed..

I haven't noticed a difference. I was having problems controlling the run game more by utilizing slidesteps. I was able to catch a few runners with them today. One thing I noticed is that the AI doesn't slide to the outside part of the bag. Was able to nab a few runners because they slid straight in...

I think my offensive woes come from playing with the Mets. Watching them tonight made me realize that MLB is a bit TOO realistic at times...

Pulse and Classic are cousins so similar settings should work well.

You might have to tweak human pitching a bit since you no longer can put "extra" stuff on the ball (and maybe have lower stuff in general, I typically see my fastballs have less velocity on them in Pulse for whatever reason - 99-101 became 97-98 and not sure why).

Otherwise, you shouldn't have a lot of problems and shouldn't have to touch anything except your control/consistency, if even that.

Going on in a few to see how I can lose today. Finally have Syndergaard back from a broken wrist he suffered in Spring Training. Time to suck...


Edit: Time to see how I'm going to win the first two games of winning out the rest of the season!

The inability of this lineup to put rally’s together is a killer. My pitching keeps me in most games and I got off to a great start to the season. Losers in 8 of our last 10 has me back to reality. Luckily, the division is absolutely brutal through mid May and I’m still 4.5 up.

I acquired Wellington Castillo but can’t help but think I need another big bat to get to the post season. I’m mulling a deal for Charlie Blackmon that would center around Conforto but not sure I’ve got the prospect pieces to pull it off.

How’s everybody’s strikeout numbers when pitching with these? I’m coming over from mike Lowe sliders and he has cpu timing at zero as armour has it at 5

Also I played one game, closest game I’ve had since I bought the show. I was losing 4-2 bottom of the 8th. Francisco Mejia hit a 2 run HR to tie it. Bottom of the 9th he hit a solo to win it. It was a blast. Salazar struck out 6 in 4.2 innings. His pitch count got the best of him as he walked 3 batters (realistic lol) tomlin relieved him till the 8th till Andrew miller took over the 8th and 9th and picked up the win

Mine have been on the lower side. I chalk it up to the low K ratings of Matz, Harvey, and whoever else was being sacrificed while Syndergaard has been out. It varies for me. I've had games with 3 Ks with deGrom, and I've had 12. I see in your other post, you're using the Indians. You should get quite a few with that filthy staff...
