My thoughts…well, I swing and miss A LOT. And patch 1.10 isn’t helping! For my own purposes after looking at my extra-base percentages, slightly lower HR total, low BA, and the fact that 1.10 made the PCI smaller, I am leaning toward increasing contact by +1 (6). Everything should get slightly better with more contact, including timing. IF that does not remedy the lower numbers, then I may increase timing one-notch as well.
I think other area that jumps out to me that is affecting my numbers is low walks. I know I have a lot of swings and misses, but my approach at the plate is pretty patient, and I work full counts pretty often, but am typically mowed down with either paint strike 3 looking or swinging. I have rarely seen easy walks. Most have required full counts with an eagle eye umpire judgment call to get the base. I am going to lower CPU Control -1 (4) to see if I can get a few more easy walks and baserunners.

Overall though I really like playing with these sliders. I am a Legend rookie, so I am starting to understand what it takes to pitch a solid game, manage my bullpen, and (hopefully) become more patient at the plate.

Going to go another 10 with the changes I have listed. I’ll report back!
Love it Fenway. Looks pretty similar to my stats with this set except my HR numbers are at .60/g. I also have stats at my house from when i experimented with contact at 6, then timing up a notch. Actually i probably have at least several games worth of stats with almost any reasonable tweak to this set i could think of lol. I am curious to see how yours compares.

Thank you for the update i look forward to the next one!

I think the "manager hook" slider really doesn't work this year, i just saw a relief throw 57 pitches on 4 innings, and i puted the slider to 9 just like Mike said

Has anybody else tested default sliders for a large sample I’m gunna give it a go with only adjustment to the pull pitcher slider

My sample size isn’t very large only 6 games. But I’m on default legand for hitting. My team BA is 264 right now. My OBP is .379 and I have 9 HRs thru 6 games.

I am in a bit of a predicament in regards to wild pitches. Pitching in legend pretty much means you have to aim for the corners or pay the price. The problem is that I am often faced with runners on base where I either pitch the corners and let in inevitable get away from my catcher to advance the runner, or I can pitch in a bit and let the CPU tee off. I guess I can just throw fast balls to the corner to be safer, but even those find a way to get away sometimes.

The solution would be to raise consistency a notch or more, but my guess is the whole dynamic would change. What doe you all do to limit wild pitches?

I’ve learned it’s all bout place the pitch high so if your putting the ball low let meter stop high if the pitch is placed high let the meter go low

I’m honestly to the point where I’m doing default Legend hitting and Legend pitching with sliders. I’m just going to play the game now. I’ve messed with sliders up till now and it’s ruining the game for myself. I love the default Legend hitting tho personally. I’m a threat to hit a HR again. Mikes pitching sliders and adding +1 cpu timing and +2 to cpu solid contact has been great as well. Very fun and very challenging set. If I changed anything at all I’d do default hitting and just take away a human solid hit notch. I haven’t done that yet but have debated it. So far it’s the most fun I’ve had with the game, and after alllllllllll this slider BS it’s quite ironic I end up with DEFAULT. lol

Same thing was happening to me I was so focused on getting perfect % I wasn’t appreciating the game for what it is the only slider I use now is the pitcher one pulling the pitcher other then that I just play I love what mike has done and appreciate the time he put in but I’m just playing now

I must say I agree with you, if you get caught up with the Sliders game, you will catch BRAIN FART! Your never finish your season but instead start it over and over trying everybody' else's sliders, including your own for the purpose of perfection which causes Brain Fart! Meaning you can toy around all day with sliders for days and months and not getting anywhere and now the new game has come out the following year only to go ahead and do it to yourself again this will ruin the players experience from such a great game for wasting so much time! Not everybody will catch Brainfart! but I am sure it has happen to many!....lol

Lol. I love testing sliders as much as playing the game, but i know exactly what you mean. Its amazing how realistic default hitting is on legend. They did a great job with this game.

I’m sure this has been asked so i apologize, but Will these work with Directional Hitting (Timing) or are they meant for Zone to give accurate stats?

Mike, I'm still liking the slider set, but I strikeout way too much. It seem to have gotten a little worse since the patch. I've restarted my franchise and i have 43 so in 3 games. I use directional hitting. I've tried to use contact button when i'm down 0-2. It helps a little, but not enough. I really value your opinion. Since i use directional hitting. Is their anything i can do to remedy this problem without screwing anything else up? Thanks in advance.
