    For sure.

Unfortunately some teams severely lack in pitching and defense. So that isn't a luxury some people have. Can't control that, and cant worry about things you cant control other than just give it yout best with what you have. Some teams will be near the bottom no matter the users skill level. (Hopefully -or else we wouldn't need attributes) Even more so for those that choose to use manual fielding.

One thing that can be controlled by anyone but is easily overlooked, is how well you do the seemingly little things offensively - and most importantly, minimizing mistakes. Runs can be manufactured in many ways as you know. Some people don't realize how much good baserunning, and taking advantage of each situation that presents itself, can help you overcome in other areas, offensively, throughout a season. It can add several wins throughout the year, which could be the difference in making the playoffs and not. This can't be stressed enough.

But yes pitching and defense should be priority, and will definitely overcome a struggling offense with the right personel and strategy.

Sigh. Another game, another walk off loss. That's 3 of the last 6 games, with the other two losses being allowing runs in the B8.

As for @NolanRyansSnowmonkey I told you I would get you my hitting stats.

I have tried to get the snip of my excel sheet, but i can't seem to get the image to work. Here is a hyperlink to the snip.http://s1070.photobucket.com/user/Ta...ilfpe.png.html

Over this 6 game span, we have scored 3.17 RPG and allowed 3.33 RPG

      8 XBH, 2 HR, as a team we're at 1 HR per 99 AB.

      .217 team AVG and .283 SLG% and .249 OBP

BABIP For my most recent game wasn't bad, .250 ish for both teams. Pitching stats were also in line with Mike's goals.

I either have to lower the difficulty or change sliders. The Pirates are at 29 AB/HR, I don't expect that but 1 per 99 is putrid.

Metaphor time: Instead of sending yourself down to AAA, go into the batting cages. Enter practice mode, and practice. Do these in between games, when you don't have enough time to play a game, etc. You don't have to do it forever, but maybe give yourself a day or two in just practice mode, then work in some additional practices during the week. Even 10 minutes can help you focus and not have to be worrying about game situations.

I've done this so many times. When I first started using Mike's sliders I was terrible at hitting. The key to these sliders is being patient and looking for your pitch in a specific area. It's very much like real baseball. Pitches know how to get you out on this difficulty level. It's up to you to not swing at the garbage they throw you sometimes.

Mike -- just a quick note of praise and thanks for the updated Sliders -- I've been using them the past couple of nights and every game I've played against the CPU has been a nail-biter. Great stuff -- thanks for all your hard work and attention to detail -- and a big thanks also to Ridin' and all those who produce that OSFM V2 rosters -- just amazing!!

Believe me I’ve learned through years of no hits it’s all about patience and picking a spot and leaving it there I don’t track pitch’s too often

I actually did plan on spending the rest of the week in the cages. Until i can consistently hit the ball. I let starters get to far into games. Usually 7 inning at least. I'll have one inning where i see 20 pitches then the rest is less than 10. Baseball is a grind, as will be my franchise.

Oh man is this ever accurate lol. My worst nightmare is when I have a game where I am not seeing the Change-up very well and all I start seeing are change-ups! The AI 100% picks up on tendencies (which is how it should be)

We had Jon Lester at 100+ pitches in the 5th inning. He is a "workhorse" (quirk), so I thought that worked out well. We won the game 7-6.

Planning to stream a game tonight, if folks are around? We can chat about a lot of this stuff.

This has nothing to do with the play of the game but does anyone knew was the Red Sox manager isn’t Alex Cora

If i remember correctly it takes them a year to fix those. He'll be generic until next season.
