So I started my Yankees franchise back up because I left it at the start of the playoffs after winning the division. Then I went on to a couple other franchises. But wanted to at least finish the playoffs with the Yankees before 20 came out since I played every game of the season.
The Yankees are hosting the Astros in the ALDS. The wild card winner Red Sox are playing the Indians. The Yankees won game one 8-4 facing Gerritt Cole.
Game 2 was CRAZY. The wind was blowing out to RF. Trevor Bauer was going for the Yankees against Josh James. The Astros started off with a 4-0 lead after 3. The Yankees came back with 2 runs in the 4th on a 2 run homer by Stanton. The next inning Bauer gave up 3 more runs to make it 7-2 deflating they Yankees crowd after getting back into the game. The 6th inning the Yankees came up to bat still down 7-2. Gregorius hit an RBI single to make it 7-3. Andujar came up big with a 3 run homer to make it 7-6. We were back in the game. In the 7th inning, Octivinno came in to try to hold the Astros down. He gave up a 2 run homer to Correa to make it a 9-6 game. The crowd was stunned that this bullpen that was great all year couldn’t hold these hitters. In the bottom of the 7th, Bird hit a solo HR to make it 9-7. Stanton had a infield single and Gregorius came up big with a game tying 2 run homer to make it a 9-9 game. The Astros came up in the 9th against Betances and he loaded the bases with 1 out. He gave up a RBI single to Kyle Tucker to make it 10-9. Chapman came in to try to get out of the inning keeping it a one run game. He struck out the next 2 batters. The Yankees went in the 9th inning with Judge, Bird, and Stanton due up. Judge hit a game tying homer to make it 10-10. Crazy! Stanton singled to center with 1 out and Gregorius coming to bat. He hit a game winning walk off HR to win the game 12-10 with his 2nd home run of the game. What a game. Now we can head to Houston up 2-0.
There were 10 home runs in the game. 6 for the Yankees.
