Just tested out consistency at 6. I was the Red Sox and only played the when I was pitching because I’m fine with the hitting sliders.

Loved the changes in this game good amount of swing and misses I saw with just a couple hits coming of 0-2,1-2 count situations

Well said. I also second this, fwiw. I have got the CPU to swing and miss and take strike three looking more than ever this year. I think the CPU is smarter/better this year, which is why they foul off so many pitches. BUT u can use their intelligence against them as well. And it's very rewarding. I think lowering fouls for them was the missing ingredient to allow you to SET 'EM UP AND SIT 'EM DOWN....and I know y'all are probably better than me.....so if I can be successful, then you can as well!

I just got 2 hit by Max Scherzer, and one was a bunt single in the 8th inning. My first hit was a double in the 6th and I got thrown out getting greedy trying for a triple. It was a 1-0 game at the time and I was trying to make something happen. I ended up losing 2-0. This coming on the heels of 2 walk-off losses to the Marlins. The struggle is real.

There is no shame on being two hit by Mad Max.

I can live with that, it’s the back to back walk off losses that I’m more upset with.

My question is how big is the difference going up to HOF considering a couple hitting sliders are a notch higher? I'm wondering if it's possible I'd hit better on higher difficulty with those sliders a notch higher. My big issue is power. It's a singles and some HR. I rarely get extra base hits off hits into the gap. I'm talking almost never. I'm between 50-60 games in.
Anyone able to answer this? Please!

I think....and it needs a few more test games of course may have found a much better slider solution.

                    Human Consistency to 6
CPU foul Freq back to 3

Coupled with Human control at 6 the results have been a lot better.

Again HOF is much harder this cycle both hitting and pitching but I love the CPU pitching AI on HOF. It is simply night and day from All-Star.

                    So try this combination out:

                    Human control - 6
                    Human consistency - 6
                    CPU foul frequency -3

If you are need of an offensive boost this will work great and it is not OP at all. In fact it is a balancer because the CPU on HOF mashes. Plain and simple.

                    Human contact - 6
                    Human Power - 6
                    Human Timing -6

Again we are near default HOF but just making enough tweaks to balance the game and not have this artificial CPU advantage but retain the far better CPU pitching AI and the more challenging HOF pitch speeds.

I will be streaming tonight starting around 10PM est!

I agree about moving CPU fouls frequency back to 3. With it at 2 the CPU just simply put too many balls I play. But man, control and consistency at 6... I already don’t walk enough batters.

While we’re still relatively close to default, this year’s game has undoubtedly required more adjusting than in years past. I genuinely don’t think the strikeout issue can be resolved truly until there’s an update that makes contact less likely when the CPU’s PCI is far off and their timing is bad.

I tried it for several games, then went back to the exact sliders from Armour yesterday for about 1,5 games. Have to say that I like it better with timing at 4. I use Meter pitching though.

How were you finding strikeout totals?
                            More? Less?
                            How were your walks?

Just curious if we need to bump that down instead of other sliders.

OUCH! Just lost Harper for about 2 months, torn calf legging out a double. He has been the no doubt MVP so far 42 games in the year. (21 HRs)

Pitching has got to step up now. Welcome to the show Nick Williams!

I would have to test more but I am also getting annoyed by testing all the time. I want to get my franchise going. My feeling is that Strikeouts are slightly better. Walks are okay but always depend on your pitching style.

I still feel that contact is overpowered for the CPU and leads to tons of weak singles.
So maybe lowering CPU contact and raise solid hits would be something to test in the future.

I am no expert though. Would love to just follow Armour‘s sliders like last year.
