I tried fish eye and just feel like I’m too far away from the plate and the pitcher seems too far away. Someone mentioned The Show 2015 angle. I tried that for a few minutes before work and I liked it more than I thought I would. I could see the ball pretty well and could react well to offspeed pitches. But, still late on fastballs. I’m going to try some offset camera angles after work and the 2015 angle a bit more to see if I can find an angle that allows me to react to a fastball a bit faster. If that fails, I’ll drop down to 4/4 as you suggest.

Thanks again for your advice. What I like most about this thread is the willingness of all posters to help each other out. Thanks everyone!!

Try fisheye 2. It seems to be an in between of zoom and fish eye. Plus you can also customize your camera once you find one you really like to make it more suitable for yourself.

I believe I read in this thread someone mentioned strike zone 3(???). He said it was like a zoomed in fish eye angle.

That's just extremely weird to me.
We are all different people with different skill sets when playing the game.
I think I am a little better at pitching than Armor and he is quite a bit better at hitting than I am. So I adjust the sliders and settings accordingly.
Ask him and he will tell you, he sets his up as a base for us to work from.

I use strike zone 3. It is a little zoomed in from fish eye. You can still see your hitter and the occasional tall player gets the top of his head out of view. This angle allows me to get a good view of up and down as well as in and out. As it is centered on the strike zone. My hitting has improved since I switched to this view.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

This is by far the best game ever! These sliders make it perfect. 11-16 in my Blue Jays franchise and struggling to get hit for the past two series. Considered bumping up a hitting slider but decided not to. Lost game one to Oakland 2-1 and then again, 2-1 in extras in game two. Game three, I come out and light up Bassitt for 7 runs in the first inning, making him throw over 30 pitches. That included back to back homers by Tellez and Hernandez.

Not done though. Rodney comes in and boom more runs including back to back from Grichuk and Smoak. 10 hits, 11 runs and 4 HR and I’m not finished the first inning. Just crazy to see after scoring 3 runs in the past two games. Shows how varied this game can be!

                These are really nice.

I love the clean screen approach, and this year, I've taken the recommendation to turn strike zone vibration off. I was initially hesitant to do so, but I LOVE the challenge of pitching by feel.

                Fantastic work!

The absolute key to hitting in this game is to get the CPU Pitchers confidence meter down.
Once his meter gets near half full or less its on.

In my Indians future franchise (2026) I lost a no hit bid with 2 outs in the 7th against Detroit on back to back to back home runs. DeRo was fired up. I was not.

After the second one I brought in my reliever and the very first pitch he hung a change up and Eloy Jimenez (now on the Tigers, along with Franmil Reyes and Willy Adames who hit first 2) wreaked havoc on the ball. I still won 5-3 thanks to some late game heroics from Lindor.

It was great. The variety of outcomes in this game is amazing. Feels like the real game itself.

And don’t be afraid to strike out looking once in a while.
Personally I go into every inning with the intention of making the CPU pitcher throw a minimum of 15 pitches. Does it always happen? Of course not, but it’s my mental game plan to take pitches and make that pitcher work.
In my game earlier today I drew 2 bases loaded walks in the first inning against Samardzija and he finished the first inning with 37 pitches. If you’re patient and make the CPU pitcher throw a lot of pitches he will eventually either walk you or make a mistake.

Just curious you mentioned maybe changing cpu timing to 4 and I started testing with that and was getting more strikeouts. Were your strikeouts fine with the other changes and didn’t need to change cpu timing

I like and understand 2 of the 3 changes. The timing one I don’t necessarily agree with. I find hitting to be fair right now. Maybe it has to do with my camera angle. I’ll still give it a go because as always, I trust your judgement
