No. Is someone else wrong in their view? No.

Yes he has hundreds of hours in this great game. A lot of us do. But even he admits this is a base set and works wonders for him but is not a sure fire set for all because not every player plays the same. No hate intended in this statement and I apologise if I am incorrect in my statement.

I have been a baseball fan for 35 years. I have my own sliders I have perfected over 3 years that play how I view baseball. Some of my slider settings are different than his and that is ok.

I don't share my sliders personally as they are designed for me, I do not want to clog the thread and add different sliders, and I admit that I can only play on all star. I have tried HoF, for a full year in fact, and didn't have fun.

I come here not to discuss sliders personally. I come here because sometimes I learn something new and see sliders from a new perspective. I come here to help people with the game. In real life, I help people when they are very vulnerable and I take that joy from helping others and bring it here. I also come here to get away from toxicity of bashing threads, etc.

Maybe I am misunderstanding the undertone or your post and again, I am sorry if I have.
I 100% agree. I also think this is well put with no ill intent.

I have a carryover I play on HOF with Armors sliders and absolutely love every game I play in it.
Kicker, I tried his with Full Minor V2 rosters and a 19 franchise and just couldn't find a good balanced. I ended up going with JoshC all-star set and am having a blast in that franchise now.

No reason to be sorry. We all have our own take on things. I'm simply pointing out sample size>sliders game-to-game.

And I agree. Like I have always said, there is no sure fire universal slider set. Tweak to your personal taste. Always.

Some guys are able to roll with the exact OP....some don’t. The bottom line is we are here to talk baseball, talk settings, give help hints and strategies and have fun.

We have a blast on the streams too folks. Fun times. And I play with a lot of passion and emotion. So if you tune in while with the kids or wife or girlfriend....keep the volume down LOL!!!! It can get crazy in there!
Preach it! I see your sliders like a recipe. I follow all the major ingredients and steps, but might make a few slight adjustments to taste.

Armour. I know you are locked in with your sliders but was just wondering if you had tried staggering pitch speeds (5/6, 6/7, etc) this year as we did the last few years? Reason why I’m asking is that I find that even your average starters have around a 10 mph difference between their fastball and changeup. Not sure that’s the case IRL. Thanks

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Just had an incredible game of baseball with these sliders as the Indians at the Mets (CPU). Started the game off against Wheeler with a Naquin HR, Cargo BB, Ramirez HR, Lindor HR, and C. Santana 2B. I can’t remember ever having a stretch like that in MLB the Show let alone to start off a game. Matter of fact I even had to go check the sliders/settings to make sure they were the same as the OP but they were. Mets bounced back with 3 HRs of their own off Carlos Carasco from Nimo, Conforto, and Ramos. Ended up taking a 2 run lead on another Naquin HR in the top of the 9th and Brad Hand struck out the side for the save. By far the most HRs I’ve seen combined yet with these sliders and for those wondering about a lack of SO’s I struck out the Mets 12 times while striking out myself 11 times with Cleveland.

I've noticed for me recently that putting CPU foul frequency back to 5 has led to more strikeouts. It seems like they will chase more pitches trying to foul them off and miss. I've played 5 games like this and even had 8 K's in 6 innings with Rick porcello.

Interesting thought. I’m getting inconsistent strikeout numbers with this slider at 3 especially with guys I would expect high strikeout totals for. I have deGrom who is top 5 in the league but other than that nothing much. Syndergaard doesn’t get many at all, maybe 3-4 a game which isn’t very accurate for him. Although he’s pitching like garbage for me and hasn’t made it out of the 5th in his last 2 starts. I actually just finished a 15 inning game and had to use him out of the bullpen for an inning and he didn’t strike out anyone.
I may give foul frequency a try at 5 for a handful of games and see what happens. Did you keep user FF lower or is that default also?

How are your strikeout totals hitting wise? I’m striking out at a pretty realistic rate with FF at 3. I even struck out 17 times in the 15 inning game including 6 by Nimmo alone. Ouch.

I usually strikeout 10 times a game some games more. I struck out 15 times against Gerrit Cole. Since the last patch it seems if your late on fastballs your not making contact period. Which is how it should be.

This actually is something I noticed. I used “Mav pitch edits” and just updated the pitch edits for everybody per what he had on his chart.

I think that was his username on here atleast, I forget.

Hi everyone. Most of you will recognize me as the guy who couldn't hit with any kind of drive/power and who made countless posts about it looking for help. Many of you chimed in and I greatly appreciated I'm. Well I'm happy to say I'm finally hitting well (Most recent game I won 12-6 over Boston with 3 HRs). The culprit ended up not being slider related at all. I had PCI on under guess pitch which greatly penalizes you. I first tried no feedback then settled on off completely. The difference with PCI off is like night and day. So for anyone struggling with weak hits for the love of God check and make sure it's off or no feedback.

Thanks. I had it on because of how long it had been since is played (The Show 13). I had no idea it had such a negative impact. The game feels right with it off plus it removes the strike zone box once the pitcher goes into his motion. This oddly enough has lead to me seeing the ball better and getting in hitter's counts more often.
