It's going man. 59-53 and still trailing the Nationals by 4.5 games on August 5th. I just completed a sweep of the White Sox at home.

Gerrit Cole has made 2 starts for me since being acquired. His first start was against the Braves where he went 5.2 innings, allowing 7 hits, 4 earned runs, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts for the win.

His next start was against the White Sox where he went 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 unearned run, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts for the win. His ERA is 3.71 on the season.

I lost Danny Salazar to the IL with a sprained elbow ligament on July 31st, but I should be getting him back in about 5 days. An off day in the schedule allowed me to skip the 5th spot in the rotation one time. About to start a series in Arizona and will need a 5th starter for the second game of that series. I called up Enyel De Los Santos to make that start.

Still roughly a month before I get Aaron Nola back.

I'm on a wild 7 game winning streak with my Jays. I'm just crushing everything right now , seems like nearly every other hit is a home run . I've had 2 games where I hit 3 homers with one player , Grichuck has hit 3 homers in a single game , and also the awesome Bo Bichette has hit 3 homers in 1 game . Jays are on fire

Ok whew....we fixed it.

Made some adjustments.....still retained my stats form year 3.

I had to undo some extensions as they are blowing up my budget. I did not realize what the heck happened. SO we sent some players to arbitration (Judge, Sanchez, Bird)

My goodness these Jays turn into 1 of the scariest lineups in the game . Most of them are ecstatic so that's why the ratings are boosted , but both Smoak and Grichuck had their potentials go up . Smoak was a C and went up to a B , and Grichuck went from a B to A potential . The pitching was where we had some work to do if we are to become a playoff team , and we are looking much better there aswell . We are ranked 11th overall now and slowly becoming the great Jays of the early 90's again . It's just so exciting to see my team develop and make a serious push for the playoffs . It's just so awesome and fun

After I had that budget scare I went back and had to fix stuff....it was late...and it was boring. LOL.

The biggest news from the off-season for my team was landing DJ LeMahieu from the Blue Jays in exchange for:

Justin Verlander
Edwardo Nunez
And a 2019 draft pick B POT SP who will probably turn out decent.

I shed some much needed salary with Verlander who is 37 years old and Nunez whom was a bench player for me.

The Jays get much needed starting pitching, a solid veteran ultility player and a nice young SP prospect.

I take on DJ's remaining deal at 12.7MM per year for 4 more seasons.

We are ready to roll.

The biggest names in free agency were Gerret Cole who went to the Dodger who are stacked!!

And in a surprising move the Marlins land SS Xavier Bogarts.

I have saved the file and await MLB 20 to start year 4!
