Ugh man with only 2 weeks left in my season I just lost Bo Bichette to a broken hand when he made a slide for 3rd base . He's such a important player for us , hitting around 270. for most of the year with 21 homers and 56 rbis . So this is a huge blow for our playoff push , we sit 2 gb for the final wild card spot and we have 12 games left . I've got no class or or work tmr so I will be spending most of my day finishing up this 1st season and trying to get us back into the playoffs . This really makes for such a exciting finish

Well luckily just before the trade deadline I made a trade for Robel Garcia , mainly cus I was looking for a switch hitter who can fill in at 2nd or short when the main guys needed a day off . And let me tell u Garcia has been amazing , such a great gem and he truly has performed beyond expectations . In 24 games off the bench played he has hit around 315. with 8 homers and 23 rbis. So he will take over permanently at short and I called up the Jays 3rd overall top ranked prospect Jordan Groshans to fill in when needed . Its so awesome to see Garcia performing the way he is and also to give youngsters like Jordan a chance in the big leagues .

Well this is heartbreaking , 1st season is in the books and I just couldn't pull of the wins I needed in the last few weeks of the season. I finished 3 gb of that final wild card spot , but overall it's been a very good and productive 1st season for us . We made positive strides to improve the team and we will be much better for the upcoming season . This season has been insane with the amount of homers teams and certain players put up , the real life Jays finished with 247 homers in real life and ranked 8th or 9th best and a batting avg of 240 . if I remember correctly . My numbers aren't far off , I finished with 251 homer runs and a batting avg of 253. But check this out , Nelson Cruz wins MVP and he was just on another level this season .

My goodness I love this game lol Going into the 2nd season has me more excited than the 1st. So the biggest area to focus on was pitching for us , my starting 5 looked like this in the 1st season :
1-Aaron Sanchez , 2- Freddy Peralta , 3- Trent Thornton (who has had a great 1st season) , 4- Felix Pena , and in the 5th spot the biggest surprise and overachiever of all my pitchers in the 1st season is Sean Reid-Foley . When Ryan Borucki was sidelined for a few weeks I had to call up Foley and he did so well that I ended up sticking with him and am now going to use Borucki as a trade piece . I'm trying to keep things as realistic as possible , Jake Odorizzi was a real possible signing for us before he accepted the twins offer , so I'll be looking to get him before the 2nd season starts .
There's been heavy talk that Ken Giles will be used as a trade piece to acquire some solid starting pitching , and I actually got some real good trade offers in the game for him and I will most likely make a trade . Also looking into Mike Moustakas , Jose Abreu , Jake Lamb and Nicholas Castellanos as a possible replacement for Justin Smoak at 1st base or DH . All have been rumoured and linked to the Jays as possible signings /trades in real life .
I'm really interested in Julio Tehran , really like him in real life and would love to see him playing for us . Unlikely but at the end of the day I'm the New GM and the goal is to turn the Jays into a contender once again and try to win , so I might just do that. Also just a fun side note on the Phillies and their business in Free agency so far , they lost the world series to the Astros in my Franchise and they aren't messing around . They so far signed up Yasmani Grandal to a 5 year deal worth 110mil , Bumgarner to a 4 year deal worth 90mil , Ozuna to a 5 year deal worth 75mil and the Big one Gerrit Cole to a 5 year deal somewhere in the 200mil area . Phillies are gonna be a scary side in my Franchise

So I've been offered a few good returns in exchange for Ken Giles and I can't seem to decide . The Brewers actually came to me with a offer of Brandon Woodruff and Corey Knebel for Giles , and Cincinnati offered Robert Stephenson and Raisel Iglesias for Giles . But If I was to throw in Ryan Borucki and Giles I can get Carlos Carrasco . Either way these are all good trades overall that give me what I need to push us into contention and challenge

Yeah and the Brewers just lost Josh Hader to Boston in a trade , so they really are in need of a closer such as Giles to replace Hader . Woodruff and Knebel really are great additions to my team and this trade makes sense for both clubs .
