It would be nice to be able to change sliders inside the practice mode.

I okay been in it a few times, but does the pitcher only throw their #1 pitch? How do you get them to throw something else?

Someone mentioned yesterday about being afraid of the move back to default fielding sliders impacting XBH.

It didn't dawn on me till last night....but yeah, I really hope that person is right. The reality, my Reds are first in the MLB in doubles by a wide margin and are first in BA. That's strong supporting evidence that what I saw/felt with the 4/4 fielding sliders is correct....they should've been at default all along.

I just think that the lowered fielding sliders nerfed defenders a bit too much. I've been seeing some incredible variety in defensive plays since I moved these back to default; there's just a different vibe to fielding. I'm seeing way more close plays, more miscues, and more urgency. Now, the funny thing...in my game last night, I saw 1 play (maybe 2) that I felt the change to default changed the outcome from hit to out. Plays were definitely closer, but not enough to change the outcome in the majority of cases. This was really the final piece I needed to perfect the set. I hope that all of you enjoy it.

Great to hear. Had put this down the last week to get back into Days Gone, but feeling like some baseball this weekend.

I left off just after my draft, can’t wait to show you guys the haul I brought in. Couple of STUDS that could see the big league squad as early as 2020!

Josh, been using your sliders since you first started. I try others, but every year come back to yours! Great stuff.

I just have one issue this year and I use your sliders like you have them, down to a tee. I can only get the CPU to strike out, maybe 3-4 times a game, every game. With great pitchers, bad batters, etc. I place the ball in good spots all over the plate. Just the batters always seem to get at the ball! Any suggestions?

Make sure you have ballmarker and vibration turned off....huge help there.

After that, really mix up your pitches and location. Make sure you're throwing strikes, but also make sure you're throwing pitches out of the zone. The biggest mistake people make is that they target the corners or outside edge on every single pitch. Avoid pitch patterns too, don't use the same sequencing over and over.

Man , what a game I just had . Was playing at Oakland with My Jays and trying to avoid the 3 game sweep , Vladimir Guerrero Jr came into this series finale with 3 home runs and 9 runs batted in . Got 3 home runs with 5 runs batted in this game with him , went 3 for 4 and won the game 7-3 to avoid the sweep . Most exciting game I've had so far , to hit 3 home runs was just amazing Loving this game and the settings/Sliders - 1st season with the Blue Jays 10-13

I am one of those who keep going from sliders to sliders. Been using Mkharsh’s lately but reading yours and it kinda makes sense. Sometimes it’s better to leave stuff at default so I’ve tried your recent edits with my own pitching stamina/hook.

Didn’t play enough from what I see, it looks like you have a point so far especially with the fielding. I’ve seen a couple nice grabs especially a diving grab by a SS with a underhand toss to 2B laying down to end the inning. I am seeing fairly decent amount of balls go into the outfield like I would with the fielding nerfed down, plus smoother plays it seems. Gotta test some more when I get the free time.

I'm currently pitching on All Star difficulty, using meter. If I go up to HOF, will it just increase the difficulty of me hitting the sweet spot on the meter or will it also increase the CPU contact, power and timing?

I believe that it will increase all of them. Regardless, if making the bump, I still strongly advise keeping the OP intact as it will still balance out.

I'm curious to know how many hits + runs people are getting on average . Im 28 games in now and really just struggling to get runs in , im allways leaving runners stranded . Hitting is not a problem , I'm getting anywhere between 4 -12 hits a game but I'm getting too many games where I'm completely shutout or If I'm lucky I get 2 or 3 runs . Very low scores , so I put hitting diffultly on veteran in the last 2 games I played and that was just a joke , 1st game I got 16 hits and scored 11 , 2nd game 15 hits and scored 9 . Veteran is far to easy to hit away and score , and all-star is just fine for hits but very rarely do I get more than 2 or runs a game.
