My very early verdict on HUM Control change looks and feels promising to me. Still issuing walks. Strike percentage is around 65 and the CPU offense has not been nerfed. Also seeing a believable number of strikeouts.
I like it Armor. Thank you for all your testing.

I have him in the 4 spot, but protected w/ Harper in front of him and Didi or JT behind him. I'm in Sept and Rhys is batting .267 w/ 34 HRs and 113 RBIs.

But since you do have Bruce playing hot, rotate him in more often. I wouldn't drop Rhys down to AAA though.
I did have Rhys batting 4th between Harper and Realmuto, but I moved Rhys down to 6th-7th about 3-4 games ago. Realmuto is playing really really well so he is my cleanup hitter now. I am definitely planning on playing Jay Bruce more at 1B especially against tough righties. I didn't hit well with Hoskins in The Show 19 either.

These are my lineups vs. LHP and RHP.

      LHP:

      1. Roman Quinn - CF
      2. Jean Segura - 3B
      3. Bryce Harper - RF
      4. J.T. Realmuto - C
      5. Didi Gregorious - SS
      6. Andrew McCutchen - LF
      7. Rhys Hoskins - 1B
      8. Scott Kingery - 2B

      RHP:

      1. Andrew McCutchen - LF
      2. Jean Segura - 3B
      3. Bryce Harper - RF
      4. J.T. Realmuto - C
      5. Didi Gregorious - SS
      6. Rhys Hoskins - 1B
      7. Scott Kingery - 2B
      8. Adam Haseley - CF

Finishing up the last game against the Reds today and then it's on to Milwaukee for a 4 game series. Not looking forward to it. Christian Yelich hit 6 homers against me in our series in Philly. I imagine he gets me for 8-10 in the 4 game series. Lol.

I just beat the Cards 2-0 with my Reds. I only gave up 2 hits and 3 walks with control at 5. I think I’m leaving it at 5 for now.

Ride with Rhys, his hitting will come, plus hitting bombs with him is fun.

I just realized being in Sept just how close my Division race is. Have a 2.5 game lead over the Nats, but have to play them 6 more times, including last 3 games of the season in DC. Might not win the Division at all, but either team is pretty much a lock for a Wildcard spot.

My 1st season of 20 has been a blast for sure. Harper is clear cut MVP and probably will win Triple Crown. Also if he manages to somehow hit 20 Hrs in the next 24 games(Lol, not totally impossible) he will break Bonds record.

And I'm pumped for next season already to call up Bohm, just gotta figure out where to trade Segura.

Doesn't that just make you sick, you think you're about to walk into their yard and go for a sweep and you barely get out of there with 1/3 or 1/4 lol.

Haha YES. They are the worst team in my franchise so far. Blew the first two and scraped the latter two for a split.

I am having SO MUCH FUN with this game. It is gorgeous, and just playing brilliantly. Roughly 30 games in and played every pitch. NEVER done that.

Armor I did notice before the change in HUM control I had a very hard time locating specialty pitches which rendered them ineffective. I no longer had a put-away pitch with some of my guys who use a good change-up like Cueto or a slider like Moronta. Did you notice this too? Since the adjustment to 6 I feel like the specialty pitches have regained their effectiveness and the user can also more effectively use the button realease to add or subtract from a pitch. For example I can start a Cueto change-up in the bottom of the zone with just a button tap have the bottom fall out of the pitch just as it arrives.

Yes. That was a major goal in moving control up to 6 in combination with consistency on 6 already. Really good pitchers now have better command of their “out” pitches. 2nd and third pitches are more effective now and don’t hang as often out over the plate.

This subtle change has really enhanced the pitching aspect of the game. I can also tell you the CPU is not neutered at all. They will still mash, you will still get rocked and still feel intimidated by elite hitters.

After making this switch I'm loving the results. With average pitchers it's still very challenging but with elite pitchers I can at least have some more consistency.

Yeah this is a nice change. In the 3 games I played with the changes I've giving up 5 8 and 2 runs. Good variety and the CPU still hits the ball hard. Good pitchers do stand out which they should. But even good pitchers still miss spots and the CPU makes you pay.

Is the only way to see a minor league player’s stats is via the lineup tab in franchise mode?

When going to the roster tab and selecting a player to look at his stats (by hitting triangle and R1 over to stats), nothing is recorded (0 games, 0 ABs, etc).

But under the “lineups” tab, stats are there in the top left portion of the screen next to the player’s ratings colored chart.

Just found this interesting and wondered if anyone else is experiencing this?
