Rookie OF Walter Ryu continues to amaze me.

He hit his first career grand slam vs the Angels and has now moved to hitting leadoff (we moved Trea Turner to the 9 hole).

Oh man,
Took a perfect game in to the 9th inning with Daniel Ponce de Leon against the Dodgers last night and it ended up being the biggest gut punch loss I’ve ever had. Ponce gave up a double to Pollack to lead off the 9th and that was the beginning of trouble. I should’ve just went to the Pen only clinging to a 2-0 lead but I really wanted him to try to finish. Next batter Lux singles and it is a 2-1 game. So I bring in Gallegos and he gives up a 2 run HR to Mookie to give LA 3-2 lead. FF to bottom 9 and Goldy and Arenado lead off with back to back singles. Dejong rips a liner down the third base line and this is when things go to hell. I advance my base runners with the intention of scoring Goldy from second easily and sending Nado to third. I accidentally sent Nado home as well and had to back track him to stop at third. In doing so, it also instructed Goldy to retreat, who was one step from touching home plate and tying the game. The end result was Nado and Goldy both being tagged out in a rundown scenario double play. Next batter flies out and we lost 3-2. Sadly I have the video of everything just in case I threw a perfect 9th I wanted to have that memory. Now I have a different memory

Been there myself brother as far as the base running blunders. Usually it doesn’t rear it’s ugly head but sometimes it’s gets confusing in those tense situations. I feel for ya .

Quick question Armor -

I managed to snag a PS5 and resumed my franchise on it tonight. Loving it thus far. I couldn’t decide however on Balanced vs Sharper in the settings. I know on PS4 pro I had it on Balanced because I wanted responsiveness and timing to be as precise as possible without losing too much detail in game. However, I feel like the PS5 is plenty powerful enough to run it at Sharper and not lose any performance or really affect timing in any way. I’ve only played some RTTS at bats on Sharper at this point but did not see a noticeable difference.

What setting are you using since moving to PS5?

Armor, I’m using Mcnulltys rosters for my season and using your sliders, but I’m absolutely crushing the ball had 15+ hits in 4 straight games. I know you probably haven’t played any games with his rosters yet, but if you do let me know what results you get.

Not sure if it’s the attributes being over powered for the players or something else. Prior to using this roster I played with default and I could barley get 5 plus hits a game.

Hey, I had to reply to your post here as well. After back to back wins with 11 and 10 runs, I just lost to COL, 1-0 (4 hits by them to 2 hits by us) using McNulty's 2021 roster. I'd let the game breathe a bit.

And for anyone that is interested, this roster is absolutely amazing. Pair it with Armor's set and it's like Christmas.

If you are playing 20 on the PS5 and a 4K HDR TV set your Shows video settings to Sharper.

It will play at a full 4K and a true 60 FPS. No stuttering and smooth as butter.

Solid and fair.

Andujar is a legit stick. The only issue is he will never play 3B in the NL. However he can play first for the Pirates.

Paxton is a solid (but fragile) rotation LHP. He has dynamite stuff when he is right. Health is always the question with him.

Volpe is a 2019 1st round pick and could have a bright future at SS/2B

Pull the trigger.

I don't think you're "snowing" them; but I'd question a tad why an NL team would acquire Andujar (who has the glove of a DH) or why the small-market Pirates would take on a hefty contract like Paxton's.

I'd ask two questions:

1. Are the Pirates in contention? If so, this might make sense if pitching is a major need and if it is just a rental (see number 2). If not...I'd question it.
2. What are the contract situations for the respective players (aside from Volpe)?

I'd personally balance it out by taking on a really bad contract (if they have one) and then upping Volpe to someone a bit better as the throw-in.

Pirates are not in contention (15 back in central and 8.5 back in wild card, as of June 19th).

Paxton is on last year of $12M deal.

I could replace Paxton with Jordan Montgomery (80 OVR), who is on final year of $805K deal (ARB ‘21-‘23).

Thoughts there?
