Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
I’ve ran a test franchise using default sliders on HOF “classic and directional” (for 15 games)
And a 2nd one using default AS+ (For 15 games).
I think I like AS+ a little more, because there is a little more offense and games don’t seem so “scripted”.
Could be placebo?
Either way, 20 is better than 22 IMO. But something about 22 won’t allow me to let it go.

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
I’ll say this….
I am not frustrated with the check swings like
Armor is.
But, One thing I don’t like on 22 that sliders can’t fix is the OFers not diving for catchable balls. I see it happen a bit to often for my liking.
I think default AS+ Is the right move with 22.
Let me ask u this…..
They now have timing and directional as separate hitting options now.
I rarely influence my swing, so should I just go with timing hitting? Am I hurting myself by using directional hitting, but not influencing my swing on every pitch?

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
Alright so.. can I have some help?
I've used zone a lot and switched to Timing with default sliders to get a more player-rating based experience instead of using zone. The problem is, I never hit homers. I get perfect-perfect doubles off the wall, good timing swings right down the middle of the plate that are pop-outs on the warning track.. but I've gone 20 or so games now without one leaving the park. It is starting to get frustrating especially when the CPU hits them against me. I've tried upping the power slider but it doesn't help. Just nothing leaves the park for me. My batting average is .400+ on almost every player, just no home runs at all. Any advice?Comment

(I'd also recommend switching to directional and making use of those mechanics as they lean heavily into the player vision ratings)Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

I've never used timing; only directional, but it almost sounds like you're squaring things up (timing it) too perfectly. You might want to consider bumping up the pitch speeds some so you can get less "pure" timing on your swings.
