...with less than 10 months left in this cycle before '22 likely launches, playing through the 650 games to get through 4 seasons is already pushing it.

Shiiiid speaking for myself but if they don’t bring back y2y saves there’s no chance I buy 22. This gonna be my loooong burn ‘chise one way or the other.

in case anyone finds it helpful i got bored earlier and did a 5 year sim of Ridins roster then did a 5 year sim with Josh's edits.

only 1 sim of each so very limited results.


however with that being said in the original file there were 85 players rated 90 or better after 5 years. there were 17 players rated 95 or better. there was only 1 player rated 99 overall.

with Josh's roster there were 67 players rated 90 or better. there were 24 players rated 95 or better. There were 4 players rated 99.

Does anyone know if anyone has an edited version of RidinRosters that fixes the players with incorrect ages? I was looking earlier and Wander Franco of the Rays is two years younger than his actual age!

The only way to fix this is to create new CAPs for those players. They have face scans and you can not edit the age, name, or appearance of any player with a face scan. Unfortunately without a ton of work, it is what it is.

I like the idea of these settings but after sinning the first season with Toronto and making some moves to put them as the 7th best team according to the ratings I came out and got swept...by the Orioles 3-0, 3-2, and 9-3. Just played game one against Boston and lost that too 8-6. A bit demoralizing and hard to keep “sample size” in the back in my mind when you come out of the gate with a pretty good team and drop 4 straight...

If I get to all star plus on pitching before batting do I just simulate pitching so it won’t go any higher? Or will it go up or down if I sim pitching. I get pitching to all star plus no problem. Just takes longer for batting. I don’t want to get to hall of fame in pitching before I get to all star plus on batting.

Just hit and sim pitching until they are even. Simulating doesn’t affect the progression.

You have to remember bizarre stuff happens all the time over the course of 162.

I mean the Braves won 20-1 last night LOL. A lot of people would race to change the settings if they had a game like that.

But you get odd scores, and bad teams beat good teams all the time.

Oh wow! I’m guessing SDS hasn’t done anything about this? Do you know how many players have this issue?

So if I remember correctly, last year there were a lot that were 1 year off in age. Don't know for sure but that is what I heard. I only did carry over or used my previous years roster.

If that is any indication, I do not think they will do anything about it but you never know. I reported a bunch of ages on their bug report on their website.

It is just about any prospect that has a face scan in the system that hasn't seen MLB time. Most all of your top prospects are off. Guys like Franco, Kelenic, Rutschman, Witt Jr, etc.

Crazy and kinda ridiculous. Franco is 20 IRL and they’ve got him at 18.

I think what they did was scan a lot of the prospects during the 2019 season and hence the MLB 19 cycle so when they were put into the 20 base roster they were a year off. Then they likely ported those players/roster to 21 when it was under development and didn't edit their personal info in the new game.

What bugs me is they didn’t take the time to at least make sure top prospects were correct. Lazy work by SDS.
