I don’t know how this will be received in this thread, but I’m using the exact OP sliders except I moved User contact down 1 and lowered my hitting difficulty to All-Star. I love Armors sliders and clean scream approach but I wasn’t having fun only getting 2 to 3 hits a game with the Cardinals. Other than me sucking at hitting I’m loving the clean screen and classic pitching!

I sucked at hitting too. What I did was I kept everything the same, but I changed the pitch speed for both fastballs and off speed pitches to 3. I am getting on average 8-10 hits a game, and I still have about 9 to 10 strike outs per game.


Some guys I believe used pitch speed 4, but I was having problems even with that speed.

Interesting change out of you @Armor. We've always championed the idea of throwing those 8 pitches to get the pitchers confidence up w/ certain pitches and also to see how his "stuff" is for the day.

Hey Armor, i have been using your sliders and gamplay for the last 3 years and really love them. It makes the game so much more realistic. I actually change the camera angle for hitting and put it as close to the hitters face as i can get and i really love playing that way. Give it a try if you can. Im thinking of changing fastball pitch speed to 6 as it currently seems a little too easy and slow at 5. Should i keep offspeed at 5 or change it to 6 to keep it the same as fastball speed? Also do you have a roster set that you use with these sliders or do you just use the live roster that the game gives you? I have always been downloading rosters from the vault but im wondering now if thats the wrong way to go for realism.

I would try 6/5 first (Fastball/Offspeed) and see how it goes.

I am using the SDS live Roster from back in April 15th I believe.

I can’t vouch for anything more than SDS or Ridin’s forth coming roster because all my testing is done with SDS’s player ratings.

Of course when it comes to classic rosters (if we see any viable ones for 22) from guys I know….the sliders will work great.

I also know Willard is doing his Hybrid roster (no eta) and my sliders have worked great with his work in the past. Moat of his edits are using Mav’s pitching edits.

Just wrapped up the final game of April in my Yankees franchise!

Here's how things look so far...

Record: 21-7
Hitters started the year on fire while pitching has been iffy. Have already given up 10+ twice and offense was able to lock in a 14-13 victory in one of them.

Here's how the pitching staff has done

Cole (5 GS / 21.1 IP / 3.80 ERA) - currently on IL with a 1-2 week contusion after taking a comebacker off the dome
Severino (6 GS / 31.2 IP / 3.98 ERA)
Montgomery (6 GS / 34.2 IP / 4.41 ERA)
Taillon (5 GS / 31.1 IP / 3.45 ERA)
Cortes Jr. (5 GS / 26.0 IP / 5.54 ERA)
German (1 GS / 4.0 IP / 11.25 ERA) - one spot start for Cole and right back down

King (5 G / 15.1 IP / 4.11 ERA)
Holmes (10 G / 10.1 IP / 2.61 ERA)
Leutge (10 G / 8.0 IP / 3.38 ERA)
Peralta (10 G / 9.2 IP / 8.38 ERA)
Castro (11 G / 11.1 IP / 5.56 ERA) - he's done great. was my top pen guy before giving up 4 in last outing
Green (11 G / 10.2 IP / 2.53 ERA)
Loaisiga (10 G / 10.2 IP / 0.00 ERA)
Chapman (11 G / 10.2 IP / 0.00 ERA / 8 SV / 1 BS (extra innings runner))

Back in AAA but have seen MLB innings
Schmidt (4 G / 11.1 IP / 4.76 ERA)
Gil (2 G / 5.1 IP / 5.06 ERA)
Marinaccio (2 G / 3.2 IP / 7.36 ERA)

Team is 22nd in MLB with a 4.11 ERA

Hitting has really propelled us. 2nd in MLB in avg at .282 / 1st in runs at 174 / 1st in HR at 50 / 2nd in BB at 119

Current lineup w/ stats looks like this:

Donaldson (.354 / 10 HR / 21 RBI) - these numbers are actually him being cooled off. Had 9 homers halfway through the month and avg was around .500 for a while
Rizzo (.241 / 4 / 8 ) - just today came off IL after being on minimum 10 games
Judge (.231 / 4 / 14) - slow start
Stanton (.271 / 9 / 30) - monster start including THREE GRAND SLAMS in the month!
Torres (.400 / 6 / 19) - spent 10 days on the IL as well but hasn't missed a beat. Just hit a grand slam in the 2nd to last game as well
Gallo (.176 / 4 / 12) - slowish start but does have a .330 OBP
Hicks (.290 / 6 / 13)
Higashioka (.246 / 4 / 14) - .746 OPS, I'll take that from Higgy
Kiner - Falefa (.286 / 0 / 10) - .326 OBP is okay but paltry .298 SLG so far

Now that Rizzo is off, Cole is our only IL right now but Torres was IL'd earlier and IKF had a day to day. Not too horrible on the injury front and Cole will be back very soon. Team is looking solid just need more consistent pitching! Hard to complain about 21-7 though.

I’ve had warm-up pitchers off for years and still see issues with fatigue so I don’t think that has anything to do with it armor.

I’ve played most of this year with starter stamina at 7 and reliever stamina at 2 and I still get:

• RPs with 20s stamina at 18+ pitches with near-full energy during the mount-visit
• RPs I gassed out the day before still at 95% stamina the next day despite RP stamina at 2
• LRP with 70+ stamina getting the “pitcher getting tired” pop-up while at 55%+ energy remaining

I want to say there’s another one too but can’t think of it. Doesn’t add up is the point and I’d opine there are simply legacy issues with fatigue whether you’ve got warmup pitchers on or not.

When was the original roster taken from Dowie? Noticed a few changes between overalls from the latest live roster and yours is all, not a problem, just curious.

My tweaks were based off of the roster update that was right around April 15 or so.

I believe there has been 1 or 2 updates since then.

I don't mess with changing attributes with the exception of SP / RP / CP staminas.

By doing so, it prob changed the OA attribute by a couple points.

By evening out 40 and 90 man depth charts, position changes were obviously made. That too can effect OA attributes a couple points.

I didn't deliberately change any player's attributes though.
