Edit: you still have to warm them up, you just don't do the warm-up pitches when they come in

Just how I do it, when I start the batting inning (if I plan to make a pitcher change for the next inning) I will stretch and toss till two outs or if a DP is possible and then I warm up (till end of inning or 2 batters) then set to ready and waiting. Then when I start the next pitch inning, I call him in.

I’ve done this as well, but I really hate the downside of it if you go into extra innings. Once you’re in extras, the pitcher being relieved will get the loss (if the runner on second scores that inning and the other team wins) because you technically aren’t bringing the new reliever in until the inning had already started so the runner on second is counted as the other pitcher’s runner.

I really just wish SDS would allow us to make lineup and pitching changes from the pause menu between innings.

I have never seen that issue. I dont play with "runner on in extra innings" though. So that may be why.

Yeah it’s only an issue with the “runner on” rule.

Actually that is incorrect. Warm up pitches turned off only means you don’t throw the 8 warm up pitches when they take the mound.

You still have to get them up in the pen and warm them up before you bring them in.

What??? For years I always thought this meant that you didn't have to warm them up on the pen. I'll happily turn off to skip mound warm up pitches.

So using dowie's roster based on the latest sds update I simmed the season using your sliders... What can we do about the low strike outs? The average for all teams sits around 7.2 per game...what can we do when simming to get more k's?

I've heard this being an issue, and some believe it is the low strikeout attribute # that most SP's have that is causing this...which would make sense in a Sim environment.

To be clear.....I didn't change one single attribute on any of the players (except pitcher staminas). I simply streamlined the salaries and evened out the depth charts to try and combat a little of the bad AI trade logic.

Interesting change out of you @Armor. We've always championed the idea of throwing those 8 pitches to get the pitchers confidence up w/ certain pitches and also to see how his "stuff" is for the day.

For the life of me I just don’t understand why they took out the warning you used to get BEFORE you were about to do a second mound visit. It’s messed me up a few times already. Grrrr!

I don’t know how this will be received in this thread, but I’m using the exact OP sliders except I moved User contact down 1 and lowered my hitting difficulty to All-Star. I love Armors sliders and clean scream approach but I wasn’t having fun only getting 2 to 3 hits a game with the Cardinals. Other than me sucking at hitting I’m loving the clean screen and classic pitching!
