By no means am I attempted to highjack armors thread...

I saw the same thing and armor, you should try out cpu consistency at 6. I have cpu consistency at 6 and strike frequency at 4 and it’s been a nice balance. Through my first 4 games I was hit by 11 pitches and walked 25 times. That’s 33 free passes which is insane.

Like I said tho not trying to derail what values are being tried out here, just trying to help!

I appreciate the reply! I'm gonna go ahead and test strike frequency at 4 and consistency at 6 with armor's sliders

What's the best way to lock in All-Star plus for hitting? I found I was crushing the ball on All-Star, but I feel like HOF might be a little too difficult. I'm looking for that happy medium.

Turn the dynamic difficulty slider up to 10; set all of the human hitting sliders to 10; go into a game and only play the side of the inning that you bat (sim the pitching frames). Swing away. Once you get the notification that you have been elevated to AS+, sim the rest of the game and exit.

Note: You will start out at beginner or rookie.

From there, turn the DD slider to zero, and revert your hitting sliders back to what you had.

Make sure that you have the dynamic notifications set to alert you as you progress.

The easiest way is when u set up the game I initially is to choose HOF. Then go to your dynamic difficulty sensitivity and crank it to 10. Make sure hitting difficulty is on Dynamic....go into a game. Should he displaying as HOF when u come up to bat.....now strike out on purpose three times....sim your defensive half inning....strikeout on purpose three time eyc......This will lower your difficulty.....once you reach All Star Plus (it takes less than a game),.............change sensitivity to zero and end the game. Now save this slider as dynamic.

You can start on any level. It just depends on what level you chose on initial set up of your game.....I set mine up for HOF...so I just needed to strikeout a few times to lower it to AS +. I found HOF is more forgiving this year hitting versus last year so I play HOF but d

I am actually bumping the cpu consistency up 1 when I play tonight. Also plan to drop the Human Consistency down 1 for a test run as well as I rarely walk anyone, I am not giving up runs, and I have yet to hit a batter even though I pitch inside as much as outside. I do like the new contact and power at 6 with solid at 4. Definitely noticed a little more hit variety and started seeing more homeruns that barely left instead of it being a no doubter every time. Armor's sliders are incredible as always, but some may need to make an adjustment 1 click this way or that way according to play style and skill.

I actually switched to pinpoint pitching (blasphemy, I know). I kept getting just shelled by the CPU and had absolutely no consistency with any pitches, including pitchers who have high control. I feel with the CPU slider bump to contact in the beta set it’s a little more balanced that way. Might end up going back to classic, or tweaking the consistency/accuracy sliders.

Armor: I play as the Brewers, so take this for what it is, but I feel like pitching is too easy. I know the Brewers arguably have the best pitching in baseball, but if I wanted more of a challenge would you up to Legend or adjust sliders?
I take back what I said. I had vibration on...going to turn it off and see what that does.

Just had a 1-0 gem Yankees vs Cleveland (the name is cringe worthy as it will go down in another long line of that cities folly with their baseball team).

Man the Beta V3 is feeling amazing.

For anyone having a perceived lag issue, go into settings and turn Bluetooth (for controller) off. It helps ALOT.

I did a ton of testing today/ tonight. 6 games in franchise mode using various matchups.

This set is playing good. Some notes I jotted down.

Foul % for both teams are trending a little too high. MLb avg’s are 15 to 18% of total pitches thrown. I am seeing an avg of 20 to 22% for both me and cpu. Have to keep an eye on this, but K and BB and # pitches thrown are in line with MLB avg’s so high foul
Counts might have to be a trade off.

Fielding + reaction and run speed settings all seem Really solid, and pass the eye and stat test.

Pitch Control and consistency playing nicely as strike %’s are in line with MlB avg’s.

Power…..hmmmm……I know we are all finding the offense for user and cpu to be a tad weak, I’m not sure about 6/6 setting.

I am averaging 4 hr per game and the cpu is a avg nearly 3 per game. Keep in mind, I have played with good lineups, bad lineups, good starting pitchers and bad ones, big parks and small parks.

Might have to be the trade off to get any sort of consistent offense going, but that’s a lot of Hr’s.
Maybe contact 6 and power 5? I don’t like messing with timing slider, so the answer has to be in contact/power sliders.

I’ll keep testing and providing feedback. Hope it helps.

That is why I HAD to visit this thread as soon as the game came out and was happy for you that '22 exceeded your expectations.

I am a 70s/80s guy that used your 20 as a foundation for my 21 sliders and I played ALL MLB show games just like you, clean screen and let player ratings determine the outcome with Pitch and hit strategy being my main input.

Only way we differ is I edit rosters to lower pitch speed (new ball in my universe, less dense and raised seams) raise contact, steal ability, bunting and lower fielder reaction and fielding ability. (haven't done it with '22 just played default)

I aim for less walks, less Ks, less HRs and more triples, BA's and SBs

I AM looking forward to '23 if what the Devs said about the Franchise outlook will come to fruition with better roster Mgmt and Free Agency
