Earlier in the week I accidentally overwrote my Reds franchise so I started a new one with my beloved Jays.

So far 5 games in and regardless of the last patch or the sliders so far they are a cheat code!!!

Lead the league in average, HR, runs, slugging… you name it. I almost feel like restarting again with a different team but I’m having so much fun.

Maybe it’ll balance out eventually.

And I'm seeing the opposite. I am getting less strong contact, even with good timing. My hits are down, my slugging us down, and I'm getting more swing and misses even with good timing. Things definitely feel different with the new patch.

Having said that, I think the results are more realistic. We were slugging too high.

We just won 2-0 vs Cardinals.
We are now 3-4 since the new patch. 23-35 overall.

What does everyone feel about contact at 6 instead of 7? I feel like I’m getting my bat on too many pitches. But then again, just gotta keep playing

Hey guys I am new to OS and I have been following a few threads regarding rosters, sliders, etc. When it comes to sliders, it seems like after getting caught up on this specific thread, it is a no brainer to use A&S, so I am set there. Although when it comes to rosters I have heard a lot of good things about Cycloniacs true sim roster that is coming out in the near future.

Have you guys used his roster(s) in years past? If I haven't started my franchise yet, would I be doing myself a disservice if I did not wait for this roster?

I follow what Armor says, because he knows what he is doing! I have had a ton more fun with MLB Show 22 using his sliders, than I did with MLB Show 20 with other sliders.


I would not be surprised though if he did tweak something in reaction to the latest patch, but then again, it may not be needed.


So I say play, have fun, and check in from time to time to see if Armor feels the need to update anything.

For what it's worth, I've gotten a few games under my belt post-patch, and not seeing anything different in gameplay that would warrant a change.

Fouls are still too high, even though the patch says they've addressed it. I really think vision ratings have so much to do with bat/ball contact. I can still foul balls off that are waaaaaay out of the strike zone IF the batter has good enough vision/contact ratings. Sliders can't fix that w/o unbalancing the game.

I refuse to get into slideritis-mode. I am sticking with these unless Armor says otherwise.

After losing 4-2 and not scoring more than 3 runs in the last 7 games, I just beat the Orioles 8 to 1. It wasn't the patch that made my hitting feel a bit off, it was the pitching of the Brewers and Cardinals, combined with slumps from Schwindel and Wisdom.

Cubs improve to 24-36.

Is there any way to increase pitcher stamina? I've got 2 great prospects in triple A, but over the course of 57 games, their stamina has not increased, and I don't see any training option that focuses on stamina. I googled this, but all I could find were comments about stamina dealing with previous versions of this game. Is there anything I can do?

Edit them. For every point you raise stamina take away a point from Durability.

Using these sliders in my Angels franchise and the game is playing great. Lots of varied types of games. The only change I have made is I've upped pitch speed to 7. Just personal preference on my part.

Last 4 games for example.

Defeated the Astros 5-4 in a back and forth game.

Lost to the Dodgers 4-0 and I was 3 hit.

Lost to the Dodgers 8-6 in a game that featured 28 hits total.

Defeated the Braves 3-1 in 10 innings. Game was 1-1 at the end of the 9th and I added two runs in the top of the 10th. This game was great. Ohtani vs. Fried was a marquee matchup that lived up to what you'd expect. Nip and tuck all game.
