Morale comes into account in franchise. Move Verlander out of the Ace slot and his rating will go down as a example

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find where it shows the players morale and what is effecting it, like I could in MLB Show 20. Where do I look?

Rotation position and lineup position does not affect ratings (morale) in 22 like it has done in the past. As far as Verlanders ratings being different, maybe the live roster was updated after Ridins roster was released?

The live roster I’m using was released before Ridin’s was released.

I want to start a franchise with Ridin’s roster and noticed minor changes in overall rankings on lots of players. Just curious as to why if he doesn’t change any ratings

The live roster I’m using was released before Ridin’s was released.



I want to start a franchise with Ridin’s roster and noticed minor changes in overall rankings on lots of players. Just curious as to why if he doesn’t change any ratings

He used a different live roster as his base for the changes.

I skipped 21 also. It still shows morale in the roster screen, and when you re-sign someone. I thought morale was still there, just not effective like in past iterations.

There goes Judge for the year with a torn ACL. Gallo and Hicks are just terrible. I may trade them both and one more player for another top tier pending free agent OF at some point. First I’m bringing up Estevan Florial let’s see what he’s got!

Yep. I use it and it works great, and another friend does too!

I like to go max powered on every pitch, I think it makes my guys more effective, but I could be wrong there.

I am having a really hard time pitching because of two big issues I have been having.

1. I don’t get the same strike zone the computer does and it makes no sense to me. I may need to turn off the dynamic zones. I’d be fine with them if they were consistent for both teams, but they aren’t and it’s starting to mess with my head when batting.

2. I can get the computer in favorable counts, but then it becomes impossible to put them away. It’s either foul ball after foul ball until they finally get a good pitch to hit, or they spit on every damn pitch no matter how close it is. I hear people talk about setting up hitters and I always wonder how people are able to do that when the computer rarely swings at pitches out of the zone and just fouls them off when they do.

I’m about at the point of just giving up on pitching entirely again and just summing those half innings because it just is nothing but frustration.

Keep playing dude. I am playing with the braves and have the best ERA in the majors after opening the season against Marlins, Mets, Reds, and Nationals. My staff is 4th in strikeouts. After a disaster against the Reds losing 13-3 and giving up 19 hits, Kyle Wright and Huscar Ynoa combined for 18 strikeouts. I have yet to face an offense in the top 20, but I am about to face the cubs, Dodgers, And Padres which should be interesting since they are ranked 1,2, and 4 in runs scored in my franchise.

Paint your corners and stay low in the zone more often than high. Give up a walk now and then. If you miss and go 2-0 or 3-0 dont give in. I get alot of swings out of the zone by the cpu.

I don't know what's happened, but this game is definitely playing worse for me over the last few weeks. Absolutely goofy animations on defense.

-First baseman diving for a ball that's in front of him with 0 reason to dive, only for him to dive into it so badly that it goes off his dome and the runner is safe at first.
-Horrible plays from highly rated outfielders on balls off the wall where they seemingly pause and stare at the wall while fielding the ball, leading to getting the ball back in extremely slowly and allowing runners to grab an extra base that they never would in real life.
-Middle infielders jumping for a ball that is at their head, ball going past their jumping body at arm level and into the outfield

Seeing a bump in clearly predetermined outcomes. A lot of this is on the fielding side and I'm seeing it from myself and the CPU when I'm hitting as well. Anyone else??? Getting sick of it!

Nope, silly me for straying a bit from Armour’s sliders. I’m dropping cpu contact from 6 back to 5. But I’m keeping pitch speed sliders at 7.
