So I hit only for only 4 games last night before I got too tired, which is basically 8 games of data. I used user hitting 6/6/0/5/4, with cpu pitcher control and consistency at 5/7. Here is the data so far. It felt really good overall. Had variety of games and offense for each team I hit with. Teams I did hit with were: Reds, Yankees, Tigers, Nationals, Guardians, Mets, Rangers, and Rockies. I want to do this for at least another 11 games to have technically 30 games of data. Here is what it looks like early on.

Needing more doubles and less singles but it's still so early. Everything else is perfect. This is pitch speed at 5/5. That's just my preference and need. Just wanted to share early results!

I have never experienced the position changes. But then I have never played spring training games. So I don't know if that could be it or not. Did you fix the lineup for both RHP and LHP?

Yep, I adjusted the lineup for both, but for some reason the game wanted to switch Vargas and Smith's position, have no idea why that would be.

Also just wanted to say it might be time for me to hang up this year's installment.

I just dropped another game to the Padres 6-3 in xtra innings to currently sit at 0-5 and dead last in ST.

I'm simply just not having fun any longer, at this point it's more frustrating than anything, and I'm to old to get frustrated at video games.

I'm not saying that I want to go undefeated or anything, but damn how about maybe a win or two.

One area that was a concern for me during the early part of ST is my pitching...my pitching has been all over the place with no control what so ever.....I mean it wouldn't be uncommon for my pitchers to be sitting at 40-45 pitches in the 2nd inning...and that's WAY to many.

What I ended up doing my last game against was putting control and consistency back to default, and with the combination of the cpu hitting sliders seemed to work out a bit better.

I was still missing my spots, but it was at a more realistic rate, so I was satisfied there.

At this point I'm not sure if I will continue on with the game, but just wanted to say thank you for the awesome sliders, and hope you find your happy place , and don't go down the "rabbit hole" of slideritis

No, please don't give up just yet. I would play a couple of games using control and consistency on default. You have to get their confidence up. If you aren't happy, maybe just sim out a week and then go from there? Since it is only spring training.

One thing I feel they can add is a listing of all the umpires that we can get. So we can research each umpires style. Or a screen on the game where we can pull up the umpire stats. Maybe in the pregame setup.

If a umpire has a high strike zone I would like to know going into the game.

If you get a bad ump that can be your ***.

Some umps are so inconsistent it's hard to know exactly what they are calling.

Try other slider sets or just play at default. Definitely get out of spring training though before doing anything. I never even play that so have no idea how it is. But it's exhibition games with guys playing who won't be everyday in the regular season.

No I don't think he meant it that way. I think he was just meaning that as a suggestion before you shelf the game. We don't want you to leave our group.

I would try the higher control and consistency and lower solid hits first. And you could also try lowering contact to 7 or 8.

Yeah I was only suggesting that over shelving the game is all. Hate to see someone waste their money on anything. The point of video games is to have fun, and if you're not there are plenty of options to get it to be fun for you. And possibly default gameplay or really close to it could do that for you. Especially with their being a large majority of people who do play default or close to it on this game.

What was your boxscore like for the CPU on the last game? Are you seeing too many walks, hits, home runs?

What I DO remember from that game though was that my pitching was abysmal, unable to hit anything close to the zone and when I did it was absolutely crushed...lol

It wasn't so much that they were getting too MANY hits, it's just that the ones they did get were very well struck and that led to a lot of extra base hits, they did have a couple of HR's, and when they were hit I swear I never seen the camera that was used as they were hit soooo hard I think the camera spazzed out..

NOW, fast forward to the game I just finished a little bit ago against Texas, and with the changes I made to HUM pitching and I took your advice and lowered CPU solid hits to 3, and man oh man did that one little change make a BIG difference, the gameplay from the CPU side felt much more fluid and inline with what I was expecting.

I mean Texas was able to generate some hits but not nearly the hard hit line drives and hr's that I had witnessed in my last game.

I was able to FINALLY pull out a win 2-1, but I had a few moments to where I thought for sure I was gonna blow it

That was a nice bounceback of a game. We are talking because sometimes it does feel like Solid hits at 4 is a tad too much and 3 over time might be too light. We thought maybe doing 3 but raising power at 7 but not sure. Just keep an eye on it and make sure they don't get too weak. Even though now it is a good breath of fresh air for you. But keep an eye on it once the dust settles.
