I would think so but not tested. I’m not sure what the difference would be with those when you play in franchise.

Guys my third year following and using the sets and my third year of being glad I gave them a go in 22.

How has everyone been doing regarding foul balls while pitching?

I know it’s partially a legacy issue from AI using contact swing so much, but I’m finishing games with 35%+ of my pitches being fouled off. IRL that number is closer to 18%.

It feels impossible to put some guys away.

It does suck, but it's either that or we have super high strikeouts again this year. I embrace and love those battles at the plate. I know I have to really fool him to get him out.

Haha that’s funny I’m the total opposite.

I appreciated the amped up K’s last year which seemed to replicate today’s “go big or go home” approach.

I’ll tinker and see if I can get that back.

Do you realize the foul ball slider doesn’t effect how many fouls balls are hit, right?

Yeah, the foul frequency is going to help determine if the hit will land fair for a double down the line or a foul ball. So it will help at some extent but it won’t help the fighting off pitches. That will be the contact slider. Or the timing slider down 1 might help too.

Anyone feel like relievers are taking a longer time to recover this year? I feel like almost no one in my bullpen has full stamina and I don't feel like they've been particularly over used.

I am noticing that too.

After a regular relief appearance it takes forever for their stamina to recover.

I noticed that too. I am going to see how user RP stamina at 10 works and then move it down as needed. See if that makes a difference. Guys should be able to go 2 days in a row or about 30-40 pitches total before needing rest. In my slider testing when I would play in the middle of the season playing random teams, most of the time I wouldn’t have anybody 100%.

The only bad thing is, I hate to touch the CPU RP Stamina when simming. But I’m afraid it could lead us to inflated offense if the CPU is throwing tired RP at us and getting shelled.

The tricky part is that I don't feel like relievers are tiring too early when they're pitching, it's just they aren't recovering fast enough.

Yeah, it might be something we have to have user preference. Have a higher RP stamina so the energy doesn't drain as fast and less recovery time cause it would be closer to full. You would just have to police yourself with the number of pitches and not just leave them in there until they are out of energy.

I think that is the issue is the time for that energy bar to fill is slower. So to compensate, we need to make it go down slower.

That is what I am doing. But you have to fix the lineups after you start the franchise. And then set the CPU team's profile to manual lineups.

What I do when I create a franchise is fix the lineups the way I want them and save a "Start-Up File." And then make a new save for my own franchise. That way if I want to start a 2nd franchise or a new one, I can just use that and not have to fix them again.
