Hey bryanm! Great sliders as usual. Been using your and Steve's set since MLB 22. Quick question.. how is the testing going with user pitching sliders at 4 and 2? I tried a couple games with those numbers for the user and they played well. Are you getting better stats with those sliders compared to the OP? Thanks again.

Glad you are enjoying these. We did notice in testing that the 4/2 control and consistency might give us too many doubles and hard hit balls since there are more meatballs. Steve is testing 4/3 and is getting better results.

Steve did some testing of the OP and the batting average was too high and not enough power. It was mostly singles.

For me, 4/2 was giving cpu too many pitches to hit really hard, which led to lots of doubles. Near 30% of their base hits. I did test cpu contact at 7 too, and they were hitting .290 against me. Contact at 5 is way better at least for me.

Dropped to default cpu hitting except foul frequency I've had at 3 the entire time. TC brought up putting it at 4/3 so props and thanks for that! Consistency raised to 3 has stopped all the doubles and the cpu is hitting well. In 10 games they are hitting .271. But was a solid .243 until the last game I tested. Doubles are now too low at 14% so go figure lol. And singles are a bit too high at near 70%.

Homeruns are a bit high but only 10 games. I had 9 between both teams last game with wind blowing out, and I had a game where neither team hit one. Long haul homeruns will be fine.

Strikeouts are in a good but rising slowly. Averaging one strikeout every 4.0 ABs. Last year, I had one every 2.6 or 2.7, so a huge difference that really did break the game for me, and I had to stop playing.

Overall I could honestly live with that hit distribution if I had to. But I'm sure Bryan and I, all of us can figure a way to get 5% of those singles into doubles. Maybe it will as is with more games played. 10 games is small amount. Gonna give it at least 20-25.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'll plug in the numbers Steve mentioned and report back. Looking forward to what you guys come up with 👍

So quick question, you posted this in the CPU v. CPU forum "The only sliders that matter for when you simulate games are the SP Stamina, RP Stamina, Hook, and Simulation Injuries sliders."

My question is if I were to watch a CPU v. CPU game would that be the same simulation sliders as for example simming ahead one week? Thanks for all your hard work.

That's a good question. I'm not 100% sure. I would say that all sliders would matter in those games since it is being played out.

Sliders matter in CPU vs CPU .yes.

Have you all been getting a good variety of games when playing. I was using RMIOK’s set and was getting fantastic results, but lately the game has become boring and predictable like it did after a few patches last year.

Curios what kind of results you all have been getting since his sliders look similar.

Are you finding pitching is too easy? I noticed something did change.

I read your issues in Rmiok’s slider thread. We are noticing the CPU is hammering us is since consistency is at 2. They are hitting ghe ball too hard form the meatballs.

I’m going to actually try 4/4 control and consistency with default hitting sliders and lower the fielder speed and reaction to 4/3. That seems to open the variety a little. TC is testing all default sliders with lower fielder sliders with ball marker off and he is getting good results. But I am hesitant to do no ball marker. Lol

Are you not seeing enough power from the CPU?

How are you finding stolen bases with auto base running? I noticed every time anyone with a little bit of speed gets on first they almost always steal on the first pitch. Sometimes 2nd and 3rd.

Yeah I am getting a lot of stolen base attempts and hit and runs. Might just lower frequency to 6.

Hard to say. Nowadays with pitch clock and only able to throw over once it seems like everyone with decent speed attempts steals.

I’m still getting used to classic pitching so I haven’t run into any issues with the CPU offense, my struggles are with my offense.
