I have not had any issues with this at all, so not sure what SDS is thinking on this one, hopefully it's nothing drastic.
I wasn’t getting walked anymore than usual. That is interesting.

Great, thanks! I am on Xbox, but I used it as well. The thing is, I have not much knowledge of the league and players, so when you say, the ratings are better, that is good to know. I hope he drops another one, cause there have been several transfers and free agents since V5.

Yeah, that was also a problem in 23. When you are able to shut them down, it gets easier from inning to inning. The moment they get hits, it´s over. My pitchers just throw either balls or beachballs, when the CPU smells blood. It is kinda realistiv, however, good pitchers can turn this around, in the Show, the game is over for me.

Well just had a follow-up game to that yankees game and lost 6 - 1
        Hits 9 - 8
        Homeruns 1
        Doubles 2
        Struck out 6
        Strike out against 6
Offensively after getting 16 hits and 13 runs against the yankees I struggled bad 1 run on 8 hits and was left off balance

I use these every year and make 1 change to the set and that’s it. Hitting to All Star and pitch speeds maxed. When I think I’m making contact and getting on base more than average I will pump hitting difficulty up. The visual of pitch speeds at 5 just looks like the ball is floating in the air and then the gun reads 98 mph haha. Just doesn’t look right.

Totally agree on pitch speeds. That floating look while hitting or pitching really kills it for me so I usually have mine set anywhere from

On 23, I was using pitch speeds at 6 or 7 towards the end. I started on 24 with 5 and I was actually struggling to hit cause I was early on everything.

I have played 7 games in my Royals franchise using these sliders and the only issue I am having is a lack of HR from the cpu. Through 7 games I have only given up 1 home run and that was in the first game of the season.

I am going to up the cpu power by 1 and see if that can give the cpu a little more juice. I don't fear throwing meatballs to them because I have never been punished for it.

I am currently testing the following if you want to try that. So far it is working good and the hit variety is even better.

Everything is at default contact, power, timing, and solid hits at 5.

                  User Consistency: 2

The lower consistency is giving them more meatballs but also making me give up more walks. I am wanting to get more testing before I make the change official. But that is something you can try. I have played 11 games and they hit 21 HR. 11 of them came in 2 games.

How has your games been with getting walked? I saw the patch coming out to decrease balls by the cpu, but I am consistently seeing cpu strike percentage around 70-75% through 7 games. I'm only getting 1-2 walks per game. I am pretty good at taking pitches (I strike out looking more than I'd like to share.) This may be just from a small sample size but cpu is hammering the strike zone a lot every game

I guess I haven't really been hitting much since I have been testing these new pitching sliders. They do seem to throw strikes quite a bit. You can try lowering CPU Strike Frequency to 4. That should help.

absolutely. I have a very good reaction time and with speed on 5, hitting is too easy for me and it looks bad. I have it on 9 (23 on 10) and it is like on TV but it also give me no thinking time. It is either hit or miss. Hitting a breaking ball also feels more rewarding.

very curious. What is your strategy when you have less than 50% of pitching confidence? As soon as the CPU gets a hit, I let the next one walk (not intentionally). Even when I get out of the inning, the next inning there is the next hit, my confidence is pretty bad and I have no chance of getting outs. High is too high, low is too low. Sliders and Fastballs go into the middle. So what do you do without a high confidence?

Obviously this really depends on the game and pitcher, but when this happens in the first three innings, there is nothing I can do. But getting into the bullpen also seems wrong, when they maybe only scored 1-2. The problem is even bigger, because the CPU players mostly become MVPs when they have 1-2 hits/HRs in the game.

Yeah, it is hard to stop the attack once the CPU gets going. I sometimes change up the max effort or how long I push the button. Or go to just tapping. With the consistency at 2, you are not able to easily dart the zone. Which is nice. I am averaging about 3-4 walks per game instead of 2.

But sometimes you just have to pull the trigger and go to the bulllpen early if you know the pitcher doesn’t have it.
