28% doubles and climbing continuously over 24 games is pretty high though. Gonna try to remedy it, but not game breaker if unable to. Trying lowered solid hits now. There are a ton of hard hit balls for sure. Need more soft singles.

I was playing with control 4 and consistency at 3 for a few games by accident and they were getting way more singles. To the point where I had to check my sliders and realized I had consistency on 3. Maybe try that.

That could work well so I'll try that for a while and see. I'm not gonna issue many walks regardless, so I'd rather have good hit distribution and live with 1bb per game.

I have actually been working with a control of 3 and consistency at 2 and the couple of games I have played so far I am liking. I have hit 1 batter, but it was with a down and in slider that just got away.

            Bryan,

Have done some test simming with Sim Injuries at 9.

Has resulted in some pretty nice numbers with teams being forced to rotate guys and use depth.

Only 6-8 pitchers eclipse 200+ IP

            (Last year there were 5)

Also, no one played 162 games.

Albies had 161, a handful had 160, more had 158, and then it tapers from there.

9 may be a good number here.

Well could be a fluke, but kinda doubt it. First game pitched for both teams using control/consistency 4/3 and there were 21 total hits with only three doubles and zero homeruns. I had 13K and 12K each though so hopefully that isn't a trend and be like MLB 23. Doesn't feel like it though. I have to work for Ks more this year whereas last year I didn't have to try and got 12 minimum easy.

Yes sir. Granted I’m playing with the Braves and it’s only been a couple of games, but it hasn’t been bad yet.

Thanks for the information. I will put that on the OP. Those are good numbers.

Do you have the CPU make their own roster moves? On mine, I control their lineups and 40 man rosters but they can call people up and down.

Personally I do 30 team control and ‘monitor’ teams.

I typically only interfere with their Bullpen setup and make sure they don’t do anything crazy with transactions.

For my simming purposes, I just left everything on Auto just so you know!

If you use 30-man control in your franchise:

For the bullpen setup, I recommend the following setup with 13 pitchers.

LRP1: MRP that is below 40 stamina
                      LRP2
                      LRP3
                      MRP1: MRP
                      MRP2: MRP
                      MRP3: MRP
                      MRP4: 6th starter
                      SU1: Best setup man
                      SU2: Best LHP
                      CP: Closer

Bryan and DarthRambo: Has this been fixed? It used to be: you'd put your worst RP in SU2, and the second worst in LRP1, as long as stamina is below 40. From your setup above, it appears as though SDS has fixed the bullpen structure. Would love some clarification on this. Thank you.

It got better. The only issue when putting the worse RP in the SU2 spot is when the SU1 pitches 2 days in a row, they use the SU2. So putting a good LHP in that spot makes them use that guy in situations. And then they’ll use a MRP guy if the SU1 guy isn’t available.

My last game, the Phillies used 7 RP in one game. All going either 0.1 or 0.2 IP.

Anyone else hitting a little too much with this set? After 5 games in my Reds season I’m hitting .309 as a team and averaging 6 runs per game.
                          My team ERA is 4.91.

I would say to raise pitch speed. If not, you can try raising cpu control to see if that helps any. It is hard cause we are at default. Another option you could do is lower solid hits to 4.

To piggyback off this... Is the MPR4 slot really for a 6th starter, meaning they CPU will never put them in, so they'll be ready for a start when their time comes? Or does 6th starter just mean the swing man/long reliever/spot starter type player?

LRP guy basically, so a RP with high stamina or just the would be 6th starter.
