Go to presentation and you can turn it to hitting only. That is what I use.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I know right! I have nothing on my screen but the scoreboard and always relied on the catcher putting the signs down but i'm not seeing that at all right now. Very disappointing!!!Comment

Too bad they don’t just flash something on the screen for pitch com to tell you what they want. Or a vibration.Follow me on Twitch

I play 162 with one team and sim the rest. Some people play with 2 teams. But we don’t play every game each day.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I will be starting my Mets franchise tomorrow and I will be playing all 162.
Now that we just signed JD Martinez I am more excited than ever.
I will have a plenty of slider feedback.Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I don´t have a specific team, so I do a Franchise with 30 team control. Then I choose a team and play the first 15-20 games to get a feeling for the players. As soon as the first slump starts, I simulate like 10-15 games, because even though it is realistic, it doesn´t make fun to hit nothing. Having lots of players with cold streaks can get extra frustrating. When there is a slump in the middle of the season, I also switch teams for a change of scenery. So I would say, I simulate 30-50 games.Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 HOF Simulation Sliders
We are back again for 2024. So far, MLB 24 is amazing. It is a step up from MLB23 in my opinion. The presentation and the commentary took a leap forward from a very good 23 edition. I have tested these sliders out. I know other years, we have had crazy sliders to balance the game. But this year, it is very balanced out of the box. This set is as close as default as I ever played the Show. Just a bump up in Contact will let us stick to HOF and not go to Legend. This should also play well with Allstar as well if needed. I want to give a big thanks to TC020791 for his help with the base of these sliders. He used something close to this on 23 and I played with those settings for the last month of 23. So we just made some minor tweeaks.
The main goal of this set is to have fun playing the game we love. But also, make it feel as real as possible. I don't want every game to be the same and be a home run or nothing type of game. The goal of this set is to get about 10-15% of your hits being home runs and about 60-70% singles.
We got this tip from Dowie to help with the CPU SP. Before you start a new series with the team, you raise the CPU's starting pitchers Stamina by 10. That will get them to pitch longer in game and not get pulled too early. If they are at 92, raise it to 99. At the end of the series, don't forget to bring the stamina back down and do it for the next team you play.
I recommend you have a different sim slider for when you simulate games. Have the settings below. That will control the amount of complete games around the league.
SP Stamina: 2
RP Stamina: 0
Hook: 10
If you use 30-man control in your franchise:
For the bullpen setup, I recommend the following setup with 13 pitchers.
LRP1: MRP that is below 40 stamina
LRP2
LRP3
MRP1: MRP
MRP2: MRP
MRP3: MRP
MRP4: 6th starter
SU1: Best setup man
SU2: Best LHP
CP: Closer
Control (Offense)
Hitting Difficulty: HOF (or your preference)
Hitting Interface: Directional or Timing
Guess Pitch: Off
Baserunning: Auto
Control (Defense)
Pitching Difficulty: HOF
Pitching Interface: Classic
Pitch Confidence: On
API: Personal preference
Fielding:
Throwing Interface: Buttons
Throwing Meter: Off
General:
Gameplay Style: Simulation
Fielding Aids: Off
Strike Zone: Off
Hot Zones: Off
Wind: On
Dynamic Difficulty Updates: Progress
Balks: Off
Umpire Accuracy: User Preference (could also switch it to get more variety).

Trade Frequency: 5 for now.
And since ALL my pitchers (SAVE two) will be MRP, setups or CP's (The other two will be starters), I'll use the pitching styles of SP's to build up their stamina & pitching efficiency
This will also ensure that I have a MUCH GREATER chance of playing MULTIPLE seasons before MLB The Show 25 comes out (Which I will get only on Xbox which would also be in line with what I do with Madden as I get it on PlayStation one year & Xbox the following year)

You'll need to go to Display settings and set Pitch Select Displays to Pitch Description if you want to see the catcher's suggestion. No fingers at the moment, sadly.Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
Another year of using this slider set for me!
Traditionally have always played MLBTS using Zone hitting and Meter pitching. But when you've played since MLB 06, those can become easier than they should. Even on Legend/Legend with sliders nerfed I'd find myself hitting 70 homers a year with Ozzie Albies.
Thank goodness for this slider set and change of pace!
I think I may need to make the jump to Legend this year for hitting. I play with pitch speeds on 7 to match Legend but personally think they should be a tad quicker. I've played 7 games so far (all using ATL) and I'm having a ton of success.
Timing seems like it got a buff this year. I'm finding myself crushing anythng in the zone. In those 7 games mentioned earlier, I'm 7-0, averaging 6 HR's a game. I've faced Aces only (Cole, Webb, Castillo, Senga, Gallen, etc.) and almost all of them are knocked out by the 4th inning.
Anyone else seeing this? I may lean toward bumping power and solid hits down.- Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster out now! (MLB 25)

You can try to bump down power to 4. You could also raise CPU Consistency to 6 to make less meatballs. But you will also get more pitches on the black.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
Hm, had my first ten games, but not feeling it yet. 23 with sliders was almost perfect (only a bit to few HRs), in 24 I see way too many foul balls again (I hate it when it happens and the CPU is just hitting 10+ fb in a row) and due to the randomness of classic pitching also too many HRs. So let´s say I have 1 out, then it starts with 3 balls and where ever I aim then of course it goes to the middle and boom HR. Maybe the reason is that I only play exhibition games? Or I am just bad at pitching this year? I even went down to All Star. Hitting feels nice btw.
You all get good results?Comment
