It works perfectly fine, no issues at all.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I've been testing outfielder throwing strength at 7 and 8. Playing 2B, i was always envious of our RF's and their cannons, and making big plays to 3rd and homeplate.

I've been seeing way more plays at home, which has been great. there's so many animations around homeplate that you rarely see. Using fieder run speed at 4 and OF throw strength at 7 has been really enjoyable.

i don't know the broader impact of doing this ... i think my games have had (on average) about 2 less hits per game. And at least once a series i'm seeing some big plays at home plate and 3rd. runner being gunned down.

Have a good catcher with good fielding attributes makes a difference too. I was using my backup and even tho the ball was getting there in time, his tag wasn't, and sometimes he'd completely whiff on the runner.

all in all, it's been a good little addition, and opened up some good plays.

That is interesting. I would be curious to know how that affects other things. If I have OF arm too high, it felt a couple of times that a routine sac fly would be closer than it should or get thrown out. So I’m interested to see if that would hurt too much.

i think fielder speed at 4 and arm strength at 7 has been a good little sweet spot. so far.

I'm seeing more plays at the plate, threw someone out at 3rd from shallow RF with oscar gonzalez (arm 95 accuracy 74). The runner on a shallow bloop tried to take 3rd from 1st and got thrown out on a close play that needed me to challenge.

in about 195 games on MLB 25, that was a first. seeing lots of firsts!

but yeah, need to temper all that with what the down sides here are. I'm still averaging 9 hits per game over the last 7 games of testing. so that needle hasn't shifted.

Just want to be sure.... Fielder speed should be at 4 and not Base runner speed? I ask because I see you mention about runners being thrown out.

Correct. I left baserunner speed as is. Fielder speed is down a click to 4 (as per the front page here, i'm pretty sure??) and increasing outfield throw speed to 7 (up two clicks). Its the extra velocity on the throws causing more plays at the homeplate and more runners being gunned down.

I have seen a couple of borderline throw outs on sac flies that i'm not sure about. But i was thrown out by Wallner from the twins (or maybe it was larnach?) - either way when i looked them up their arm strength was in the 90's; and i was trying to move to 3rd base from a fairly deep sac fly with my 1B Latenight Lemonte Wade (run spd 21).

              so again, maybe that's plausible??

but the added velocity on outfield arms is showing up, 100%. and i am loving all the new animations i'm seeing on plays at the plate. i just wanna test some more so that realism isn't being sacrificed

I will be doing a second Mets franchise that I will be giving feedback on. I have already finished the first.
When will SDS update the rosters now that the trade deadline has passed? Does anyone know a good roster I can download that hasn't altered the SDS ratings?

I think we are locked in. I will make a season report on my Dodgers franchise. We are in mid-August.

i'm not sure what's going on ... but for me. my starters are going fine, all realistic. the bottom of my rotation give up runs, and my ace is consistently fantastic.

but over the last two weeks my bullpen has melted down. to the point i wonder if the catch up logic has been tweaked by SDS in any of the recent 3-4 patches? anyone else experiencing mad catch up logic/ bullpen meltdowns?

my pen isn't the best - i'm the whitesox. but i did trade for ryan walker as my high leverage set up guy, and i also traded for steve martz, in the same role, but a LHP. but even those two guys who i've been mostly lockdown with, are ghiving up all kinds of hits. hits out of the zone, their control, rarely they pitch where i aim even if i green it (meter pitching)

am i having a rough run, or is anyone else been having mad catch up logic from the AI too?

i am using 10/5/5/5/5 ... i have been thinking of dropping it to 9 contact and drop timing to 4.

for me, i use 6 contact and 6 timing. on 7 contact i was mashing too much. averaging 12-13 hits every game and getting the odd 15+ hit game against poor pitching/ match ups.

I don't use meter pitching, but with classic pitching, these sliders really punish average pitchers if they're in a slump. I like it because it forces you to navigate around that, and there aren't many easy pitching games. Having said that, dropping to 9 for cpu contact isn't terrible, but I wouldn't go any lower than that.

For hitting i am still using all default sliders and its working very well.

I know these work perfectly with the Franchise to Fidelity roster set....but do you think they would work with the live rosters?

i think that's it hey ... i've been pitching poor. As in not executing my pitches, and doing it with pitchers who aren't very good.

I'm already looking at the trade list for a new SP and a bullpen arm. 😂

I played 3 games yday on 9 contact, and it did feel good. Still lost a game and another went to extras bcos my bullpen blew it up. But they didn't turn into 6-7-8-9 run innings where there was nothing i could do (even with green timed pitches & locating).

Up down, corners, side to side in and out of the strike zone with every pitch. Its definitely a challenge to not be predictable with cpu at 10 contact .
