Dodgers win the domestic opening day. Tigers put in a rally in the 9th to make it interesting but Scott comes in for his 1st save of the year. Up next, is game 2 with Glasnow against Flaherty.

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders

Testing out the wind setting turned off. That alone creates too many HRs and not enough HRs taken away from the wind to offset it. In fact, to see wind blowing in is so rare compared to blowing out. Also it seems the wind sticks the same for every game of a series. Same mph is realistic, but the direction not changing is not from game to game. A small 5-8mph wind seems to be just enough to give you wallscrapers too often. And that's power at 4.

I stopped my Braves franchise in late April to restart with Fidelity and man oh man, these sliders are working a treat. This is my first year using these two in conjunction with each other, but I can't imagine ever going back.

I'm getting a lot more strikeouts, errors, and all the little details that are hard to replicate. Now I just need to see torpedo bats and I will have the most realistic franchise experience ever lol.

I also moved my wind slider to 3. Even a 6mph wind blowing out is noticable, but if we have to use 4 power, I'll probably end up at 2. I'm glad someone else noticed the way it can drastically change results, but in bad way imo

First game with wind at 0 and each team hit a homerun. Both no doubters. I'm sure a couple of those deep fly balls that game could've gone yard with some wind.

I tried your sliders and there really good. I did change cpu contact to 7 and timing to 4 only because I was getting way too many strikeouts looking. This cuts it down a little cause they see they ball better but with timing at 4 they still swing and miss. Just my 2 cents though.

Yeah, we noticed it too. We will keep testing wind at 0 or 1 and see if that helps.

Yes! That roster is amazing. It really works good with these sliders. Glad you enjoy the sliders.

That is a good spot. Hitting sliders can be very variable depending on the user. Glad you enjoy them and let us know if you have any feedback.

I am struggling MIGHTILY offensively...trying to be patient but literally hitting .130 after 8 games and dead last in the league in basically every category. Even when I have good timing and its a fastball right down the middle, i pop it up, swing and miss or hit a weak grounder. Waiting for it to change but my skill level might just not be what it used to be.

I know its small sample still but I think i have 2 doubles in 8 games. Just feels like my skill level is a touch below.

Any suggestions to see a little more offense? Thanks

A side note here, I just played a game with manager hook at 0 and the CPU managed the bullpen as usual, replacing the starter (74 STAM) after 5 innings, 74 pitches, 5 hits, 1 run allowed and a 5 run lead. Looks like that slider is no longer working since they 'fixed' bullpen usage.
if it wasn't for the gutter my mind would be homeless...

Agree on both points, the game is even better with this combination!

I know its small sample still but I think i have 2 doubles in 8 games. Just feels like my skill level is a touch below.

Any suggestions to see a little more offense? Thanks
What camera are you using? I tried the catcher near and that helps….almost too much lol. I would increase contact by 1 and see if that opens up for you. Most likely it is a slump but those changes can help get you out of it.

I was just going to mention this very thing...lol
I have been somewhat struggling at times as well, I was using a custom camera based off the catcher cam, but something still felt "off".

I then started messing with different cameras in the game, and I came across "catcher near" and I had read several others had been using this camera successfully, so I thought "why not"...lol

The angle is definitely something I wasn't use to, but I wanted to try it out, and in the 1st inning against the Tigers in just a "see how it goes scenario", I was hitting the ball all over the yard, and jumped out to a 4-0 lead, obviously this isn't really proof of anything, but I will say this is the first time my Dodger offense really came alive...lol
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Increase your timing slider and see if that helps. I usually put that on 7 and have good results without making hitting too easy.
