Yeah I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole. I upped CPU contact to 7. I'll see what happens. I'm gonna keep wind at 0 for awhile and let 4 power ride for hum. I will say that I play on pitch speed 8, but I think 9 is doable. I used to play a lot of ball. Pitch speed is not even a thing. It's just getting it tolerable. I wish there was a 4.5 power slider. Oh well. Also wanted to say thank you for creating a great slider set for the classic crowd. I realize that everyone is different and will keep that in mind. Thank You.

Yeah, but if you're timing is off you're probably never going to very often. Hitting is different for everyone. Too many variables to have something that will work well for everyone. Increase your timing until you see good timing a decent amount, even if you have to raise it to 10. Lowering pitch speed, maybe raising it will help. Depending if you're late or early more often.

Exactly Darth. Everyone is different in how they play each at-bat. At the end of the day it's assumed everyone is comfortable at where they are when they start moving things. No judgement or thinking lesser or more.

I love showing things like this. Random, but good juju. Matt Chapman is now one of my favorite players. Happy day y'all.

                Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders

I got delayed a little on my season because of work but I am back at it.

                I will have more feedback.

I can say this much for the game and the sliders...I can look at highlights of the Mets game and the play is going at the same frame by frame speed as The Show. I can also simply look at how the batter in a real game swings and makes contact with the ball and tell how far it going to go. Just like the damn game.

This years game is definitely a good representation of the sport.

In yesterdays game Vientos made a couple of good plays where he fielded the ball and threw the batter out. 3rd base is the longest throw so even on a good play it is going to take a while to get to 1st base so even if the batter is out he is still going to be somewhere NEAR the bag. In the real game the timing was literally frame by frame with what I am used to seeing from the game. Good stuff.

Go to the 1:10 mark of this video. They show the first two out of the game by Vientos. Both long throws. The timing of the game in my opinion is perfect just like these plays.

That is what I would expect to see from the Dodgers. That pitching is simply amazing.

Do you plan on streaming any Dodgers games?

Yeah I have been streaming a few but I just noticed they aren’t saving. I think I got to save now so my next one will save. We took 2 of 3 against the Phillies and are 8-2.

I started a franchise with the Rays, but moved them to Montréal to bring back the Expos. Even found a working version of Olympic Stadium in the creator that has the right capacity and elevation.

Been having a blast even though I have some nitpicks with the team creator. Would love to have 3 uniform slots, and would love to be able to actually put the Nike swoosh on the chest. I think it looks dumb irl but it bothers the hell out of me that I'm the only team that doesn't have it.

Yeah, I wish they allowed us to do alternative uniforms. Even just one more choice. Home, away, and alternate.

I found some logos that in the vault that had the Nike logo. Check the Dreamers, Athletics, Aces, and SunRays. I know one often those had them. Load them in and select the Nike logo and can you cut and paste it to a different logo like put it on the jacket logo temporarily. Then go get your correct logo and put it on the chest jersey. Then go to the jacket and cut and copy the Nike again and go back to the jersey and paste and move it?

Hmm, I'll see if I can make that work. It'd be so much easier if SDS just had a creation and download suite like 2K does

A small update on my Reds franchise I'm playing every pitch. After losing the first two @ Texas were 2-2. Rattled off four straight wins (opposite of them losing four straight IRL) behind some excellent SP and overall pitching. Couldn't get the four game sweep in Milwaukee, then beating the Giants two straight. Just lost game three and missed the sweep. Lost 9-5 in a back and forth game.

We now sit 8-5 and tied with Cardinals (8-5). Cubs are basically identical at 9-7. Start a weekend series at home vs the Pirates next.

                            Team stats:

                            BA- .247 (18th)
                            RS- 57 (t-15th)
                            HR- 17 (t-18th)
                            SB- 13 (5th)...Elly with 9 lol
BB- 20..of course dead last playing every pitch as usual lol
                            Ks- 127 (23rd)

                            ERA- 3.05 (5th)
                            Two shutouts (2nd)
                            RA- 42 (2nd)
                            ER- 39 (3rd)
                            HR allowed- 15 (t-6th)
BB allowed- 15 (1st)... typical playing every pitch. Lowered pitcher control to 4/4 lately may increase them a tad, but I'll probably always be first with this category.

                            Ks- 106 (23rd)

Also, the last 6 games have been no wind (4 inside Milwaukee closed roof). Raised wind slider to 2 and 3 the last couple games. Only 3mph wind blowing in so not much.

Here’s a weird coincidence. Cubs beat the A’s 18-3 with 21 hits the other day in the A’s home opener. I just played that same game on the schedule in a Cubs franchise and won 18-5 with 22 hits.

Loving the sliders but also trying to learn how to protect myself from... myself. Every year in The Show, I have an issue where I:
                                • Hit too many home runs (I have a lot of games where I already have 3 HR by the bottom of the 5th, and then I mentally sabotage my hitting from then on to be "realistic")
                                • Hit too few extra-base hits (most of my runs come from HR)

With the power hitters on my team (I play franchise with the Braves — Ozuna, Olson, Riley, etc.), I typically hunt for pitches middle-in and, using directional hitting, I’m prepared to pull the ball or depending on batter handedness.

So yeah, I love the sliders, but I always trend according to the above. If there's any advice (including changing my habits to not exploit this flaw with hitting in The Show), I'm open to it.

Would love to hear if anyone else runs into that weird self-imposed realism dilemma — where things start off too hot offensively and you catch yourself tanking at-bats just to keep the box score believable. Do I just need to trust that it'll all even out across a longer stretch?
