Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
Originally posted by bryanm1982From what I noticed this year is the pitcher will get yellow about 8-10 pitches below his stamina rating. Even when I tried stamina at 8, he still gets yellow at about 3-4 below his stamina rating. That is why we were starting to raise SP stamina to 90.
It may be because I haven’t really focused on the stamina to much, but I’m loving it the way it has been working.
This year is different than previous versions in dealing with the pitchers fatigue. I have left starters/relievers completely out of energy in this season and they are not just absolutely losing control and not able to hit your spot. I do notice velocity and break declining, but it’s not a 5-6 pitch walk like it seemed would happen once you got the out of energy notification. I have had to place one on the IL due to it. Risk reward I guess.
It is also making me manage my team with more diligence too. Player minor options matter more now if it is a young arm I don’t want hitting waivers. I have enjoyed it.

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
One thing I love about these sliders and the newest updates is how you have to pitch with your 4th and 5th starters and some of your lower rated relievers. I just had to grind out 5 innings with my #5 starter and had to take him out in a 2-2 game because he was up to 92 pitches and practically running on fumes. I ended up winning 4-3 on a sac fly in the top of the 8th. 2 singles to start the inning then a slow ground out to the right side to move the runners then the sac fly. Scoring a run like that in a big spot can be so satisfying.

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
Just going to throw my two cents in. I have always preferred using QC and still do this year as well. What I've found that has helped me improve the CPU offense and limit strikeouts is not playing with any pitch trail marker or vibration. It's probably too soon to decide if this is a placebo or if it's real, but I've found much more success in not being able to see exactly where I am aiming my pitch. It has led to more misses and walks, but also misses across the plate because I didn't aim it far enough, etc. Not sure if this will work for everyone but I've been enjoying this so far. It's also not like I'm getting shelled each game either. I've had some dominant pitching games in the mix too.Comment

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
I usually don't mess with the wind slider but after seeing the wind blowing in Philly last night I decided to bump the wind slider up to 9 and holy crap it made a difference on fly balls. HRs were flying out (The commentators actually said on one HR that it should get an assist from the wind in the box score), outfielder struggled to get to fly balls. I didn't realize it sound make such an impact on the game. I'm going to have to start using the wind modifier system to mix it up a bit.Comment

Philly I have been using his wind system but do a little different. Before each game I use the random app from 0-10. Whatever number hits is the wind slider set up. Top of 5th do it again.
Wait until you have wind like that blowing in. It’s awesome!!!

Legendary is tough (I also play dir hitting), but the sequences and locations are more true to life. I have had to bump contact up to 8 with timing at 7 but the hits are more rewarding. I also play 10 pitch speed so it’s as close as an experience to a MLB at bat as the game can offer.
Was just worried about balance and variety of hits with contact so high. Also still want to whiff, bloop and squib from time to time.
Will check out his sliders.Comment

Originally posted by SeancefcI tried HOF but the pitchers just dont feel elite enough, like it doesn’t feel like a battle at the plate. Getting a meatball and missing it because I’ve nerfed the batter is more frustrating than not being able to pick up low balls on legendary to me.
