Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
Does anyone think that the graphics have been scrubbed again after the game launched?
I was playing last night with the Mets and the graphics looked sharper than before.
It also seems that the different presentation modes have different levels of sharpness when it comes to graphics.
Maybe its nothing and I am just seeing stuff that was already there in the game.Comment

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
What's everyone's thoughts/strategy on using the power swing vs holding up with directional when sitting dead red? I'm trying to figure out what gives me the best chance for an xbh in hitters counts with my sluggers. Obviously, most of my hrs are "accidents" with normal swing, but I haven't really explored the power swing much.

yeah, absolutely do not want it to sound like a knock on your sliders. They play great.. but I think the increase in power for a lot of players is skewing my data that I am seeing.Comment

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
Homeruns are by far the hardest thing to keep realistic. I have 14 with Friedl and 13 with McLain through 48 games. But then I have guys like Elly with only 5, Steer with 2, CES with 7. Overall I've hit 67 total, 16% of all my hits which is a little too high, but being the Reds it's very high if I'm trying to be closer to real life. I've had power at 4 for probably every game. Wind has been between 2, 3, or 5 mostly but overall they're still high. Never tested power at 3 long enough but maybe it works okay.

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
Originally posted by D TomI am still using the front page set (except user timing on 4) but man I have such an annoying offense with the Braves in my franchise. I cannot stop hitting HR's, and for realisms sake I need them to stop lol. I am one week ahead of real life currently and I have 2 players at 8 HR's and 1 at 9 and 10. I hardly ever seem to get ropes that drive people in and it just seems like the game just gives me HR's over and over. I am still getting too many perfect perfects.
Unfortunately I think that playing competitively for so long has ruined my chance at getting this game to run in a realistic way. I may need to develop some legendary sliders using these as a template in order to nerf this hitting.
Edit: It may also be the Fidelity rosters having a lot of power stats when compared to the default... I may actually go back to SDS rosters and then simulate back to this point. Especially with the PA announcers saying the wrong names with the Fidelity roster.
My power is currently at 3 and...im having a great time. HRs still happen but are rewarding when they do.
The changes I made in total are:
HUM PWR: 3 (I'm actually experimenting with 2 right now, but that might result in a cooresponding tweak to Solid Hits, tbd)
CPU Control: 4
CPU Consistency: 5
CPU Strike Frequency: 4
All others match the OP, I'm using pitch speeds 9
F2F rosters indeed have slightly higher overall PWR numbers, so i think these adjustments compensate for itComment

Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders
Idk if it's roster specific. I always used the live roster, and even update attributes within the franchise to match roster updates through the season. And homeruns are always too high. It is a video game though so I expect for it to be more exciting to play over watching real life baseball. Interested in trying power at 3 and raising solid hits to just see how it goes

Originally posted by BrewCrew16That is interesting, but with power at 4 you can already see the exit velos drop. I would imagine power at 3 would just be too frustrating and unrealistic, especially for players with lower power ratings.

Also was having a hr issue as the Yankees. I tried going to legend which definitely made it more competitive but then went on a five game losing streak. Going to test these changes.Comment

Originally posted by JstnJI'm now using PWR 2 with some modifications to foul balls too (referencing Armor & Sword settings for that). I dont want to hijack S&B's hard work here so I'll mostly stay quiet from here. I'm using a hybrid of 80% S & B with my own modifications nowFollow me on Twitch
