No, not at all. We enjoy the conversations and opinions. And hopefully, we are helping each other and others out in this group. We are all trying to make the game better.

I'm using the Fidelity Rosters and what I have noticed so far is the CPU is really aggressive in hitting. There were too many games where my pitcher was having 50 pitches in the 5th or 6th innings. Sometimes, while still giving up 8 hits in the 5 innings, they would still have low pitch counts because they would swing at the first or 2nd pitches.

There might be a difference between those rosters and the base rosters, that make the CPU more aggressive.

For my offense, when the CPU pitcher has low pitch counts it is most likely me being too aggressive and not working counts.

Yeah, having control at 4 is a good and bad thing. Sometimes the pitches go out of the zone while they go back into the zone when you aim outside.

I wish there was an investigation or generally detailed explanation on "clutch". Maybe someone knows. It's not going to make any sliders change, but it's just honestly a bs rating I ignore even though, I know, it's not bs. I just wanna know how to handle it in critical spots.

Yeh, I do l not like that rating. I think it should be treated like however they use the quirks like the does better in day games or good first pitch hitter. However they calculate those “bonuses” should be for clutch. my 75 contact hitter should not be penalized for having runners on base. Good clutch hitters get bonus or nothing.

See I like that response but, no offense, [emoji6] dk how to treat a rating that I have no clue on. I understand what it probably does, but yeah Bryan. Who knows? All I know is that I used my bullpen and players as I feel like they would in real life. No complaints, but I do have an outlier.

Well I guess, here is the root. Juan Uribe of the Brewers has like a 90 plus clutch rating. Why? I want to know why it's that #1 and #2 why is it higher than guys like Koenig or megill, even? I don't want to knock the game but an explanation would suffice. My name is also Brian. An I though. Sorry to disappoint.
I said Juan and meant abner uribe lol. Juan was damn good for those Marlins though. Meat head Dan uggla..ugh

It's like 2 guys that are facing off with 85 plus clutch. Deserved or not. What does that mean to influence the result? I'm already nervous hitting in that spot lol

Yeah, I don’t get how they determine clutch rating in the game.

JWDixon, do you guys mess with clutch rating? If so, what do you determine that to be?

I have decent success with it as it feels like the game intentionally puts 2 strike pitches close enough for the CPU to make contact, but other times the pitch will sail very far from the zone.

This worked for a couple innings when I struck out 2 in the first and 1 in the 2nd. Then the CPU started laying off and I ended up with 4 Ks and 4 BBs in 7IP with Aaron Nola.

I just played a Zack Wheeler start and only got 4 strikeouts once again. Just for giggles I simmed the same game 10 times using Quick Manage and in none of those 10 times did he ever record more than 5 Ks. And my team was striking out like crazy. Weird oddity.

I strike people out constantly with Freddy Peralta, even though the command of his secondary pitches is awful. I do utilize my fastballs and set up hitters extremely well. Maybe this is the issue? Idk

I'd like not to talk about sim stats, but I realize the importance to the community, so it's hard for me to comment without starting an "argument" that won't resolve.

It's the roster update that dropped a week or two after the season. So a live roster, not any of the custom rosters. Everything is set like the first post.
