The HBP have been weird since last year. It is like they come in bunches where I’ll see a coupe of games with 1-2 and then a stretch of none. We are testing CPU Consistency at 6.

I’ve seen the same thing. Some games I’ll get hit twice in a row. Then I’ll go 5 games without being hit once. It’s definitely averaging out to less than one per game.

CPU pitching has been really good for me besides that one issue, if you even want to call it that. I think it’s definitely manageable. I’d prefer it this way, rather than the CPU hitting corners on every pitch, which will be more likely with consistency on 6.

They already hit corners much better on default this year than they did last year. Last year it was really quite easy on default sliders to get either a meatball or an easy walk most at bats, so most of us did put consistency up to 6 last year. Im not seeing that at all this year so far. Hitting has been a real struggle for me personally compared to the last two iterations of the game.

I noticed that hit batter problem also.

Soto got hit in his very first at bat for me. Later on in the game he almost got hit again when the CPU threw inside.

I will be starting my 162 game season Friday. Hopefully it is not a issue too much during the actual games.

Just some feedback. Played 2 games with the sliders in the OP. It feels like I'm slapping a bunch of singles but haven't seen many extra base hits. Nothing really splitting the gaps or getting to the wall. I did hit one random HR with Kody Clemens of all people.

It shouldn’t affect anything. Like e said, it evens out at the end to be less than 1 per game.

I would raise solid hits to 4 or 5. If 5 is too much, go down to 4. Might make that change ourselves.

Hitting is very user dependent. I haven't even began trying to find my sweet spot for hitting sliders yet with only focusing on the cpu hitting and my pitching first. Imo I would just start at default hitting sliders and adjust as you need from there. I know I suck at reading pitches and just hitting overall with timing I'm not that good, so I'm gonna probably raise timing up to 7+ for me so I'm not striking out 10+ times every game. That's not needed for most people I'm sure. So while we do post hitting sliders, they're really just what works for Bryan or I based on our ability to read and react to pitches.

                  Re: S & B's MLB 2025 Simulation Sliders

They are playing good so far for me. Eight games into my Braves franchise and Marcell Ozuna is the only one having really good success. Everyone else is a little up and down. I have the unique problem where I came from DD and was consistently making World Series there, so my eye is really good... Too good to be playing offline unfortunately so I always have to move the pitch speed sliders to 10 so that way I am more tempted to chase outside of the zone (that I also have turned off).

I am seeing a lot of good hit mixes with most being singles through the infield. I am also seeing the HBP thing that others are noticing but after looking it's only been 4. Two were in one have though. Not unrealistic at all really. Pitching feels good too. It looks like SDS may have fixed that terrible swing that had been present since forever where the CPU batter swings almost as soon as you pitch it. I feel like all the K's are earned this time.

Fielding feels good with 4 speed too because Arcia is struggling to get to balls that require more range than average which is pretty indicative of his ability in real life.

Overall this feels really fun and solid. Way less flukey stuff happening so far.

I always kind of cheat and put the breaking ball sliders one tick higher than fastballs so they basically come it at the same speed. I'm terrible at reading pitches and start looking silly if I also have to try and account for speed differences.

I will post our 3 card modifier as well that Coach used about a decade ago. It is optional but it adds to the game.

After playing a few games I am definitely liking the graphics even more which surprises me.

I played a 4 inning game against the Pirates and their uniforms looked really good. The Mets uniforms look really good too. Their are a lot of really good points with the graphics. They definitely invested some time into getting the most out of the current graphics engine. The grass and dirt is looking better than last year also. The players gear looks better than last years game. Graphics definitely are a win this year. I saw Padres game on YouTube where the catchers gear looked amazing.

On the Livestream that Bryan did few days ago with the A's stadium you can see they recreated the environment perfectly.
It really showed how depressing it must be for a major franchise to play in a stadium like that.

Yeah, I'm sure they will not be excited to play in a AAA park again. You just hope they remodeled the clubhouses. But there are probably only so much they can do or so much room to do anything close to a MLB caliber clubhouse.

You wonder if sharing SF Giants park was an option.

I don’t think that would have been possible with scheduling either.

I’m moving the Rays to Orlando. Becoming the Orlando SunRays. Debating on moving the Athletics to Las Vegas Aces.
