Every Sunday (except for the last day of the regular season) I used a random generator I made on Google Sheets to manually injure 1 pitcher in the league, and then 1-5 other random players (pitchers or position players).

I also manually control CPU MLB injuries, and anyone that gets "a few days", "1-2 Weeks", or "1-2 Months" goes on the 10/15 Day IL, and "2-3 Months" or "6+ Months" goes on the 60 Day.

In addition, I injure 10-15 random players at the end of Spring Training.

All of that has created a lot more roster movement, that I like. And tbh, injuries are probably still lower than in actual MLB (granted I also use a roster that generally speaking has players with much higher durability ratings), but it's a good balance.

That is a cool idea. I’ll have to try that as well. I like JWDixon’s spreadsheet too. He has a thing you can do once a week and you do random stuff. Like one is a team had a fight and a player got suspended for 3 games so you have to manually injure them.

Restarting my rats franchise. Going with a sds roster. Might even just use the default roster. I get why people like the franchise fidelity roster it’s just not for me.

Yeah, each roster has its pros and cons. You going to do. Post trade deadline roster? The only thing bad about that is like you have a team that might have too many SP. Like the Rangers, if all pitchers are healthy, they have no room for Kelly for example.

No trade deadline roster. I’d never use one of those. I like my own season to forum the teams through fantasy land and create the story.

Anyone else notice that gameplay injuries in postseason games are drastically higher? I've played with injures at 10 all year, and still not really had that many. But I'm in my 10th Postseason game right now, and I've had 6 players get pulled from a game with injuries. I just had a game where, between the CPU and me, 3 players were out of the game by the end of the 4th Inning.

Wow that is crazy. Do they do the scorebug in the playoff games yet?

I’ve seen over the last week three starting pitchers be removed from a game and it will say it was due to a nasty shot to the head even though the ball wasn’t put into play. This happened while the at bat was still going.

Sorry. I meant the bottom feed that shows the other games scores. Don’t know why they don’t have it in playoffs. Big miss on playoff immersion in my opinion.

Hey Bryan, great job on your sliders each year. I use my own but love to get insights and other people's thoughts.

Im using HOF on both pitching and hitting.

Why did u decide to use 5 control and 5 consistency this year vs 4 control and 3 consistency? Just curious looking forward to your thoughts. I prefer real MLB strike % from starters as much as we can get it to those numbers if that helps. I'm looking to get other opinions on pitch control and consistency from you guys if you enjoy 5 and 5 and if 4 control and 3 consistency to low this year?

For the rest of my sliders I've been using a variation of Nomo17k sliders from MLB 18 the last he did but I adjusted as years went on. Most of them remained the same with great results for my all user online league. I took the set that was closely matched that MLB then has held up pretty good. Even though the great work nomo was doing was meant for CPU vs CPU I have used them for our league with great results.

                          Thanks H.B.

hey Houston, nice to hear from you. We have a great group of guys in here that all try to help each other out.

we have tried the lower human control and consistency to try to make our pitches have less control and get more walks. But it seems to make the CPU swing and chase more for some reason. Which raises their strikeouts and results in less offense. But control at 4 probably wouldn’t be too bad and not much difference. For the season, my Dodgers are 66% strikes ad 66% first pitch strikes. Probably a little high for first pitch strikes.

I think strikeouts are all out of whack & on the low side this year, not from the game engine and sliders, but from the actual roster attributes...

I edited my starting pitcher to 80- for K's and have played the same game against the Tigers (in my franchise) 8 times with him ... and the swings and misses he now gets when previously they were going foul tipped is thru the roof. the lack of strikeouts is a roster/ attribute driven problem, imo.

                              3 games, pitching 7 innings with default K attribute (59) he averaged 3 SO. and five games with 80 K he's had 8k, 9k, 10k, 6k, 8k ... so averages are way up.

i think the problem for SDS is ... by cranking his K attributes up to 80, and not touching any other stat, he went from an 82 rated pitcher to a 93 rated pitcher. so all the player ratings would be skewered and too high, imo.

i don't pitch enough walks on HOF, even with contact at 10 for CPU, pitching still didn't feel challenging and random enough. too much control. Default legendary, is close. lots of control issues even when i green time a pitch (on meter) it doesn't go where i want. and now i average around 3-4 walks per game. which is fantastic.

i need to experiment with CPU hitting (maybe reduce contact to 4). it seems way overpowered ... CPU getting 12- 13 hits per game is excessive. but maybe it's bcos my staff isn't the best. my ace is 82 rated and my number 5 is 70 rated.

I've noticed this too. I'm not sure anyone in my league is going to reach 200 K's in my current season. I'm lucky if I get 6Ks with my starting pitcher even when it's Zack Wheeler. I think his K's per 9 rating is only like 78 even though he was on pace for well over 200 K's again.
