Catcher Near is a little too zoomed in for my taste, but I can see why you all like it so much.

Checking it out did make me realize why I’ve been struggling so much lately. Camera was set to Fish Eye and not Fish Eye 2 which makes a huge difference for me.

Nice to be able to read pitches properly again. [emoji38]

I am just realizing more and more my eyes are not what they were even 5 years ago.

Retro was great….but Catcher Near for me is even better for my older eyes to read the ball out of the hand.

I was on fish eye for a long time…..just can’t do it anymore unfortunately. It’s a beautiful view.

So I downloaded these and skimmed through the ratings. Are the overalls skewed upwards for franchise development (like future years)? Has anyone simmed some seasons to see how the stats come out? I have not been involved in any rosters since idk maybe like 2013. I'll have to look when I helped Willard (is he still around lol).

Man I swear, and maybe it’s just in my head…but while I am reading pitches much better on catcher near it has also helped with guys throwing major heat and with huge breaks on their pitches much harder to catch up to.

Amusingly a few days before I saw this, I actually adjusted my camera from fish eye 2 to catcher near because I just couldn't hit anything on fish eye 2 this year. Ironic lol

Armor is there any chance you have suggestions for me to play on All Star. I’m just not great at the game and really love your slider set but am getting destroyed on HOF.

How many games should I give it before messing with any CPU hitting slider to give them some zip? Between the two games in the Twins franchise I started and the 8 games played in just random test franchise games, I’ve given up 1 HR and it barely went over the wall. What I typically give up for hits are singles (some bleeders and others hit hard) and doubles that just barely get to the wall. I just feel like the CPU is missing some pop and it’s not due to me just always painting corners. I’m still giving up runs but typically it’s about 3 or 4 max.

                    Any suggestions?

Just started up a Dodger franchise with these sliders and the F2F rosters. So far so good but will admittedly need more time to determine if I'll play all the way through as I understand the roster is geared towards long-term franchise stability.

I'm only five games in, and the only concerning thing that stands out at this point is that there seem to be at least two errors committed every game (Betts with one error in three of the five games). I am not sure if this is due to the rosters or sliders. I will have to play more games. Other than that, nothing else stands out as an issue.

A&S - thanks as usual for the work on this set!

I have tuned these to SDS’s rosters. Not seeing that issue with SDS rosters.

You may want to give it 25-30 games and if it continues tune down errors.

What do you mean, people can obviously tell real life baseball is broken by torpedo bats after the first series!

FINALLY got to play my first game. I play 2 franchises - NL Phillies, AL Yankees.

Loaded up the latest SDS roster and took my Phillies into Washington. What a glorious game! It’s simply amazing! Using Armours exact setup, the Phillies beat up on the Nationals 7-1. In real life Phillies won this game 6-1. Phillies got 12 hits off a weak pitching staff, including 4 doubles and a 2-run homer from Max Kepler. Wheeler was sharp going 7 innings, giving up 2 hits and getting 6 k’s. He could have gone another inning as he had only threw 79 pitches but he was up 7-0 so let the bullpen finish the game. Can’t wait to play game 2. I will not start over, I will not start over, I will not start over……. Thanks for your sliders Armour!!

Armor, in the games you simulate in your franchise, are you seeing way too many Strike Outs and Home Runs?
