I just bit the bullet and preordered it. Waiting for the email with the link for the beta.
Edit: Because I preordered today, does that mean I don't get the benefit of having the beta sent to me? In other words, did I have to preorder before today to get the early release?

I'm pretty sure if you bought it before pre order release, you'll get the pre order release.

Any tips on the draft? I've only been playing OOTP the last 2 years, and I haven't figured out the best practice for navigating/drafting players.

The first 2-4 rounds are pretty straight forward. I just take the best player at whatever position focus I have at the time. After about round 5 though the next 20+ rounds all have players with identical ovr/pot (20/80) ratings. It seems as though there has to be a way to differentiate a 20/30 SP who should be drafted somewhere in rounds 8-15 rounds with a 20/30 SP who is projected to go in round 30. Obviously the game has something for this since your scout always has a "recommended player". Is there a way to really view this?

One idea that I just had would be to switch to a 0-99 rating scale during the draft. Haven't tried it yet, but maybe that would provide a little more.

This answered every question I had about the beta release today - as long as you have the serial number from the order confirmation you'll be fine. Even if you don't get another e-mail, they're going to post the link to the beta on the OOTP forum once it's live.

We're sending out emails with downloads links to the pre-order customers now and we'll soon post a public download link on the forums. So it shouldn't be long Thanks for supporting us and hope you enjoy the game!
