Does anyone know if you can use the alternate unis in season mode once you buy them? Or if they randomly pick the alternate unis like in MLB 07? Or can we just pick them in exhibition mode only?

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
So, if someone has a PS2 and a Wii, is there a difference in either one that would make you want to buy one or the other? I'm not sure I understand the controller discussion. You can or cant use the wii remote in all modes (like you would for wii sports baseball)? If you can't use that, what is the real benefit to the Wii version over the PS2?Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

I've only played using the Wiimote and nunchuck, and it's been fine. You use them just like a regular controller anyways.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
Matthew, do you see any major benefit in getting the Wii version? Does it have any advantages over the PS2 version (that you're aware of)? If I can't play season mode with the unique Wii remote, I might as well get the PS2 version and use my cordless logitech remote. I like that for playing most sports games.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

A second question, is playing the HR derby or exhibition games using the Wii remote for swinging any fun? If it's something that I could enjoy when people come over to play I suppose that could make the Wii version worth my while.LET'S GO FLYERS, YANKEES, DOLPHINS!!!Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
just picked up the only copy they had at the local Best Buy today (ps2)... this game is sweet! the stadium details when selecting for a exhibition game, the "flyovers" for opening day... played a couple of games so far.. i am getting very sim like results in the games I have played (and yes, even getting walks!)Comment

I picked up my copy on my way to work today, but I won't get a chance to crack it open until midnight or so. It's killing me!
I've heard so many great things about the PawaPuro series and its realism. And it seems like so far, this title is delivering!Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
Question. Does the Wii or PS2 for that matter look any better/sharper on HD TV? I know that neither system supports HD but I was just wondering it improves the picture at all? It's time for me to upgrade.
As far as the game goes, I'm still fiddling with the settings. They default hitting of 'lock 2' is way to easy for me on 'normal' mode. I hit 3 homers lastnight with Giambi. I'm quite amazed at how much you can tweak this game to best meet your skill/preference. The amount of options and settings will probably keep most of us busy for quite a while until we figure it all out.Go Yankees!

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
no "expansion draft" per se, but under a normal season mode, your two expansion teams are filled with made up players.. there is also a create a team choice for season mode, which I am assuming is a fantasy draft..
you can edit basically everything about your team, from colors of hats (and brims) to colors of sleeves.. the only problem though is that they only give you the selection of real stadiums to pick as your park - not some "made up" ones..Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
I would be curious to know this as well for the exact same reason. Especially since I read the Wii version is not progressive scan or 16:9 ratio.
