I can confirm this too. I like payoff pitching better as it takes more skill.

Originally posted by bigfnjoe96Again those who have experienced freezing, have you been using ZONE PITCHING?
I froze a handful of times. None of them were with zone pitching. A few times were when subbing a hitter/pitcher without zone pitching enabled and the other was sending an XBL message. Just really odd.
With that said **crosses fingers** I haven't froze since I started my franchise. That was 10-15 games ago.Comment

Re: Patch Discussion
This game definately gets my vote for Most Unfinished Game of the Year. It definately has some nice features about it. Anway, played a few more games post patch and everything is chuggin along. I do not see any gameplay enhancements with this patch. To me it plays the same as before the patch except now you can finish a game.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Patch Discussion
Never had a freeze until tonight. The patch downloaded earlier today and I made it 17 great innings with Big's slider set. Then, a freeze while trying to sub in a closer after back to back homers to take the lead in the top of the 9th.
I'm over it. I'll be walking around Oblivion with a used copy of MLB2k6 if anyone needs me....Comment

Why do some people think that this patch adressed anything other than the freeze issue? It doesn't, plain and simple. Any gameplay enhancements that anyone of you may have experienced are in your head.
This patch had one reason and one reason only, and that was to adress the freezing issue.Comment

The only time I got the black screen o death is when I tried Zone1 pitching. Maybe he's on to something. I thouhgt it was me creating a VIP.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

So if there's anyone out there still experiencing FREEZING who still have this game. Check your Pitching Settings. If your settings are Zone Pitching. Change that to Payoff Pitching & see what happens.
Hey, Candy congrats on taking the PLUNGE....Comment

From what I have read and seen in my copy from the patch:
1-Inning Highlights and Game History has been disabled.
2-Zone Pitching could be a culprit.
3-VIP profiles could be corrupting data.
4-Pressing the "Guide Button" during gameplay can cause freezing.
5-Transition from cutscene to gameplay (this was my problem before and even now after a cutscene or even before the screen looks like it's going to freeze at times but it doesn't.)
6-"Inside Edge" (I had a problem where I scouted the Reds before the season started. I wasn't getting "IE" at all during my first game. It then worked with my series with the Cardinals and then I played the Reds again which it worked in the next series. Strange.)
7-Fielding. (Something has to have been done with the fielding. I think they changed some things to it because I'm having a harder time fielding now than before. Maybe it's me.)
8-Occasional stuttering during the intro.
9-Commentary (For some reason, I don't hear anymore about the crap stat that last year the batter had 0 HR's and 0 RBI's. I don't know if this was fixed or not.)
Overall I enjoyed the 2 games I played last night. Previously I had played 10+ games so this game isn't as bad as many have made it out to be. I think come with Fall if a WSE is released that KUSH better clean up this game. I think that the only way for them to go with 2K7 is not to introduce a new engine or else we will be in the same shoes next year. They need to take this game and polish it up. I don't mind playing on the same engine if everything works like it's supposed to for 1 more year.
My thoughts for 2K7:
1-Give us more fluid animations.
2-Pitching, Inside Edge, Payoff Pitching, and Momentum Physics Fielding don't touch. If you have to refine go ahead, but don't make any changes since you added 4 new concepts to the game.
3-Player models need an overhaul. Way too many star players not looking like themselves body like and face wise. I have a feeling even if 989 ported over the PS2 version of MLB06 to the PS3 and made the graphics NEXT GEN quality, KUSH and 2K will be the ones made to look ridiculous.
4-Please don't add anymore useless features that will break the game. Follow the road that 989 did and fix the game.Comment

Originally posted by bkrich83No freezes as of yet. Still having fun with the game. Just going to play Single seasons. Gonna try to play a single season (Some games, some manage mode) with the Pads, and then a random AL team or possibly the Angels. Beat the Giants and Jason Schmidt 3-1 today. Peavy went 7 gave up 1 er, walked 2 struck out 9. Mike Piazza broke a 1-1 tie in the 6th with a 2 run double down the LF line.
BK, did you turn the highlights option back on or are you playing with it off. I want to no if I turn mine back on will it cause problems.Comment
