    1. Thought I had a double play turned and wondered why the guy at 2b didn't get called out. Watched the replay and my SS missed the bag.

    2. Grass Stains ! Andruw had them all over him after making a diving catch.

Yeah, those grass stains, and dirt stains are awesome. When batters come up, I always admire how real it looks, lol, which is quite sad.

I had an awesome game at Wrigley between the Cubs and Mets. With the score tied up at 1-1 in the 7th Wright gets ahold of a Zambrano high and in fastball and hits it out just inside the LF foul pole. As I watched the replay, the first base coach starts doing the Carlton Fisk "stay fair, stay fair" waving with his arms and then jumps up and down pumping his fist once it's gone. Awesome stuff...didn't matter though because Wagner blew the save in the 9th giving up 2 runs to lose 3-2.

          A crowd chatter experience:

While playing a road game in 5.1 surround sound, the "group" in the speaker behind and to the right of me was really letting me have it, to the point they had me distracted and laughing and I started throwing bad pitches. It seems they got drunker as the game progressed, and I threw a wild pitch and one of them yelled "DOH" in Homer Simpson style and all the others started laughing.

          Good stuff man!!

I am not a hardcore baseball fan... not even a decent one at that. I watch the playoffs every year, but don't get into it til around september. After playing this game non stop for about 4 days, I freaking can't wait for baseball to start. The presentation in this game resembles that of a playoff game on FOX (IMO, the best presentation in a sports vid game ever).

This is a great job by 2k and visual concepts. Honestly, this can fool ANYONE into believing that it's a real game for at least a little while.

Mark Teixiera grips a batting glove in each hand while baserunning in this game, just like in real

its crazy how many details they have in this game.

sorry if posted already but i just realized that pitchers wear their jackets when they are on base!

also isnt there supposed to be a section in the pregame where it shows you the records of the teams, ERA, runs/game etc. and the pitchers' stats from their previous start etc.?
I saw it on a video and also when I played online but it isnt there in franchise mode. is it not supposed to be there in the first place or theres like a bug or something?

I think this has been mentioned before but playing an exhibition between the Red Sox and Rays...Crawford grounded to Lowell at 3rd and his throw to Youk at 1st was off and to the left. Youk snagged it and swung his glove behind him to try and tag Crawford as Crawford ran to 1st

                      That was pretty slick play/animation!

I can relate to that. I was watching a demo of Cleveland and the Dodgers. It sound and look real, mostly becasue of the lighting. I just sat back and watch it. The Dodogers had their throw backs on.

I'm playing as the Jays and have heard some great things so far, such as...

"Hey, why are these guys in the American League?" (Game 1 @ Tampa)
"Hit it to Windsor!" (Jays @ Tigers, Game 1, may or may not relate to Toronto directly)
"Hey, Aaron, You're A One-Hit Wonder!" (About Aaron Hill, Game 1 @ Tampa)
"Go Taronna! (popular, yet stereotyped pronounciation of 'Toronto' in Canada - look up Don Cherry and 'Goin' Down The Road')" (exhibition vs. Yankees)
"The Blue Jays Should Fly South!" (Either it's a bad joke or an anti-Canadian statement, IDK)
"Strike 'em out, Hally!" (Referring to Roy Halladay, exhibition vs. Yankees)
"Big Hurt? He's still playing?!" (I think I heard something like this...Game 2 @ Tampa, Frank had two dingers BTW)
"Yay Vernon!" (A kid's voice...almost made me jump out of my chair)

Also, I think I heard what either could be considered a bad glitch or an opposing fan in a home team's stands. As the fans went through their "Blue Jays Stink!" phase as I was at bat in Tampa, a random fan just yelled out "D-Rays are Terrible!"...which was then met with more anti-Blue Jays stuff...like I said, if this was intentional, it's amazing.

                            Non-Jays-related chatter...

"Go Back To Double A, Betemit!" which was followed almost immediately by...
"Double A Betemit!" from another voice
"You're not goin' anywhere, Bobby!" (As Abreu increased his leadoff from first...awesome!)
"DERRRREK....DERRRREK!" (As Jeter approached the plate in Toronto...I think this was in 2K6)

There have been other instances where the heckling has entertained me, but they aren't really coming to mind. I'll keep you guys posted with any other entertaining quotes.
                            Great stuff.

The game definitely has that real life feel to it; my gf was fooled for a sec last night that it wasn't a real game. They did a fantastic job w/the player faces; many look eerily realistic on those walk up closeups
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period
