Pick off throw to first... I apply the sweep tag, and upon swinging, I swing the ball out of my first baseman's glove, and over towards the dugout. Thanksfully, the guy was too busy getting up from the ground to go anywhere.

Re: Little Things Thread.....
I had a game between Orioles and Twins. A fly ball was hit to Jay Payton in left field. He dropped the catch, which resulted in an error. So Payton then threw the ball to the cut-off man, Miguel Tejada who was frustrated with the play and slammed the ball into his glove. The look on Tejada's face showed he was upset with Payton's error.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Probably old news, but I saw the bat boy flash across the screen last night to pick up a shattered bat. It was more of a blur than anything else, lol, but cool all the same.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
First time I saw this one was last night, DBacks at Padres. Greene hits a shot over the left field fence into the Padres bullpen, and a couple of the pitchers hanging out down there crouch over and cover their heads! Nice!Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
I love when the show the player highlights from previously in the game. I thought they only showed homeruns, but I had Scott Podsednik up at the plate in the 8th inning. He was 0-3 with 2 SO's and that point. They showed two diving catches he had made, and another sweet catch where he reached over the railing in foul territory to get the out. Then Joe started talking about how Scotty P would love to trade a couple of those nice grabs for some hits.NCAA Vets League: Arkansas Razorbacks (9-2, 6-1)

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Not sure if these have been mentioned. The transitions/progression of daylight to darkness and the stadium shadows. I started a game at 4pm by the 5th inning the pitcher was in shadows and i was still in the sun in the box, made it tough to see the ball transition through the shadow!
Also, pitchers pouting about umpire calls is awesome! Just like do on the mound when i don't get a call!
Derek Lee hits a smoking liner down 3rd base line, my 3rd baseman dives and the ball hits in his mitt but pops out!Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Not sure if this has been posted, but I hit a hard grounder to the left of Derek Lee at 1B, he dives and stabs the grounder, throws to the pitcher covering first while still on the ground, throws it a bit behind him, and the pitcher reaches back and bare hands the ball with his left hand (Lilly from the Cubs). It looked so natural too, the reaction of the pitcher, that I had to watch the replay a few times!!!Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Not sure if this has already been mentioned. While playing a game last night against the D-backs, they hit a homerun and one of the players for the D-backs sitting behind the fence way back in the outfield tried to catch the ball in his glove when the ball was about to hit the ground while the other players were celebrating the homerun. It's amazing how much detail they put into this game.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
From what I've gathered it's completely random. I was thinking along the same lines as yourself early on until I figured out that we have no control over when exactly to argue calls.Comment
