Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
Here's another example: You go into a computer store to buy a program - say, Norton. You flip the box over and read: Unfortunately, we could not fit all of Norton's Anti-virus content onto the one disk in this box. Upon purchase, please visit Norton.com to download the remainer of the program. And I'm not talking about upgrades, which are normal for many PC programs and video games.
Imagine how long a company would stay in business if they did that. And none of them do. And the word cheapskates comes to mind now for some reason...
Considering how many companies have gotten away with charging people to download keys to unlock stuff that's already on the game disc this generation, I doubt this is going to hurt them at all.
If anything, this looks worse for MS than it does for 2K.Comment

BTW: I chose to ignore that comment, mostly because the total and complete lack of logic in your post made it clear who it is who's actually missing the brain computing power. But you're blinded by your, um, let's call it overly-enthusiastic relationship to 2K, so I understand.Comment

Who said this would hurt them? I don't get that comment. And how is not including a second disk with the game, MS' fault?Comment

Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
I would agree with that. Choosing to put a standard drive in a system when game content is growing in leaps and bounds does not bode well for MS. Now there add on drive is defunct too.

Yup, makes getting that Blu-Ray player that just happens to play The Show all that more attractive.Comment

Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
I'm not saying it's MS' fault, I'm just saying that if there's going to be any widespread negative reaction to this, it's going to be that sports games are getting too big for a DVD. People are generally willing to accept that with RPGs, but pretty much anything else is going to raise some eyebrows and having more people doubt the decision to stick with DVD.Comment

Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
Not a 2KFan at all....but it doesnt make sense to criticize someone/company because they didnt do what YOU wanted them to do....y would 2K waist time, money to offer u a service one way when there is another way (at no additional cost) to distribute the same exact content?....I am a businessman so excuse the economical example but if i was running 2K I would mos def offer these things online instead of in a 2 disk set....Last edited by El_MaYiMbE; 02-20-2008, 09:26 AM.Comment

You and a couple of others in this forum need to lay off the comments towards others, and stick to talking about what you want to see in the game. And insinuating that others are brainless just because you have a different opinion? That's how children think and communicate.Comment

Oh okay. Yeah, I wasn't thinking that when I said that, no.Comment

Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
You mean, as in offering the entire game, complete, in one box, even it it means two disks? Funny how that didn't seem like such a big expectation on the part of consumers, up until this thread.

Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
Why though? What's the big deal with 1-2 extra disk ones, burned onto the harddrive? If anything, it sounds like a feasible alternative that's already being done with some games, but one which 2K won't consider due to cost-cutting reasons.Comment

With the ps3 being the lead platform for the design of 2k8, I'm not surprised this has happen...Comment

Re: "game informer" tidbit from 2k sports forum.
Very true...but at the sametime I wanted to communicate that it is unfair to ask a company who is working with limited disk space to spend MORE money because M$ chose to go with an older format....im all for M$ but thats the dumbest thing they did and 2K is working with what they got...and what they got is an excellent online service (XBL) that allows them to add things after shipping something...for FREE none the less....Comment
