All Rays fans will appreciate this one: In real life at Tropicana Field, the Rays have a Tank with Devil Rays swimming about, and the game has the same Tank and The Devil Rays swimming in them. I damn near freaked out when I saw that!

I gotta check this out. Nice find. :wink: I know this has probably been mentioned before but the camera angles being used during replays are implemented very well especially when they show the view from behind the plate. Looks just like a live braodcast.

The commentary is just fantastic.

Today, I scored two runs in the top of the first. Gave up two in the bottom. Here's how the commentary went:

Thorne: Just like that, the Orioles come back!
Thorne: Steve, both pitchers are having a hard time getting it started today.
Phillips: Yeah, Gary. I'm surprised. The first one of these guys to settle down could give his team a big advantage.

MLB 2K9 has the most impressive audio booth I've heard. It sounds like these guys are really talking to each other.

I thought this was pretty cool. Played at Busch Stadium at night and you could see lights on in the office buildings from the city. Pretty neat touch

I agree, its one of the few bright spots to this game. I like how they refer things from the past, such as talking about an injury a few at bats ago, and they actually hold a conversation. IDK how long until it gets repetitive (I've only played like 6 games), but its very solid

If it makes you feel better, I've played 15 games and still find the commentary to be solid.

Got the game last night, and I missed my slider, but the batter still swung at it and it went foul. Or I thought. Turns out they showed on the replay that it hit his arm when he swung and he was called out. It was pretty cool.

I also like the umpire movements. I don't know how many but I have seen the field umpire adjust his hat and the homeplate umpire throwing the ball back to the pitcher after a foul ball.

i was playing at progressive field with the twins and had picked up dunn. anyways i hit a homerun and thought the ball moved kinda weird after it was over the fence and when i went to the replay i saw a fan with a twins jersey jump up and then start to dance! it was hilarious. i saved the video too!

I like how when you hit a ball into the dugout players get out of the way. Not sure if that has been mentioned.

This game has quite a few little things. I like how pitchers attempt to field the ball up the middle. I also like how AI baserunners will hesitate sometimes then take off. I liek the barehand throws. I had this play where the cpu hit a grounder down the first baseline with a runner on 3rd. The runner on 3rd stayed put at first but i was struggling to get to the ball, the runner recognized it and took off. it ended up being an infield single and a run scored.
