No its up to 3 patches, the 4th patch will cost money, i know MS charges if the company decide to go over 3 patches.

Basically, this still has to be the mindset of the majority of their consumers. How could it be any different? It's great if they patch all of these things, but the bottom line is this huge number of issues made it past their testers to begin with and had to be discovered by us within a matter of a few days. Patches are nice, but shouldn't be put in place simply so you can let your final consumers be your testers.

Something needs to be drastically changed in their testing process because too much obvious stuff is either being done wrong or just being left out. Whether these are known about and overlooked or if they truely are never discovered has to also be in question, but the bottom line is we are getting a "fully playable" date that is two months later than the "release" date for this game for too many years in a row.

That is the mindset, until 2K changes it.

I know this has already been quoted, but I wanted to do so again for emphasis. Although I do think that this year's game is MILES ahead of 2k9, it still amazes me that some of the most basic aspects of baseball are glitched. It would be like a FPS hitting the shelves in which one of the guns wouldn't fire. Or an RPG which didn't add up the experience points if you beat a particular type of enemy.

Basic, basic stuff is either getting by the testers or 2k has decided to let a certain degree of glitch get through knowing they can patch it later. Neither of which is acceptable.

I believe the amount of patches a game is allowed depends on the game and the size of the patches. NCAA, Madden, Call of Duty, Halo, are going to get more patches than a lower revenue game like mlb 2k10.

Can't wait until the patch comes. The game is tremendously flawed and I'm still addicted to it...can't imagine what kind of shut-in I'll be when it works better.

Thats whats such a shame about this MLB 2K series.

Every year I say to myself "Wow, what a great game."

Then the bugs completely ruin certain game modes, and it ends up being a $60 green plastic coffee table coaster.

You're allowed two free patches on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. After that it costs money per patch.

Unless of course it's exclusive, then I'm sure there could be as many patches as need be.

Still no patch news. Ronnie is going to think I'm stalking his twitter account.

I had a brief moment yesterday where I thought how great this game would be if they patched ALL the issues. I could see an error in the 9th inning deciding a game, a star pitcher being lifted in the 4th with a strained elbow, my pitcher losing his command and issuing 4 straight balls to the 8th place hitter.... how great a game this could be.
