You know what it is? For me its a control thing, I like to know exactly where the bat is when it crosses the plate, as opposed to with zone hitting you press up but really have no idea how high you swung the bat. So maybe its a just preception thing but at the point of contact I can tell by seeing the cursor whether I topped a ball or got just under and can make the adjustments the next time. With zone hitting the cpu determines all that and I have no idea why if I press up on a high pitch I pop it up. Unfortunately though more and more people like the zone hitting style so cursors are fading out, WSB is the only one I think that has it now, so I guess at some point I'll have to suck it up and use zone eventually.

We plan on keeping cursor as an option in future versions.

fatpitcher, thanks for the first hand info ,my question/concern is concerning online play. You stated that we wont be able to use updated rosters for online play, well if thats the case, this game will be useless for online play,as I dont think it will be very appealing to have to use the yanks without Arod on their roster.I hope I misunderstood your statement. Please clarify.Thanks.

That's correct, except we'll have A-Rod on the Yankees and Maddux on the Cubs.

Will we be able to use the Legends' batting stances while creating/editing a player this year?

What all does the Sports Ticker show? Does it run while you're playing like a real broadcast, or will it only show in between plays/pitches?

It's hard to say...probably the new batting system, since batting's such a key element of the gameplay. Maybe online play, although it will be humbling when I get blown out on my own game

Almost all the improvements to the game have been geared towards making the game more enjoyable, immersive, and realistic in the long term...a lot are things that by themselves don't make you say "WOW! I must have that!" but I think people will appreciate them more as part of the "complete package" when they've played the game for a while and the novelty of the back-of-the-box features from other games has worn off.

What EA does really doesn't affect us much. They're going to outsell us by a lot, but the funny thing is that they already did that with Triple Play.

                        1. Yes.

                        2. You can set it to Off, Idle (when you don't push anything), or Always On.

We've changed the action replays some, but many of them are similar to last year's in terms of camera movement and angles. We do show more of the play than we did last year.
