is great american ballpark fixed this year? for instance, different wall heights, different hitter's backdrop, the smoke-stacks?

are automatic replays fixed? last year, they all had matrix effects and would start way too late.

will there still be robert fixk 489 ft golf swing hrs?

We've changed the action replays some, but many of them are similar to last year's in terms of camera movement and angles. We do show more of the play than we did last year.

Hey fatpitcher are there better fielding annimations like bad hops and two handed instead of one handed off balanced feilding.

Are the bats the same they looked a little unrealistic, do they have more detail like labels, tape, pinetar etc.

Do the baserunners round the bases instead of the sharpe turns.

Are there a variety of glove sizes for infeilders and outfeilders.

The differences here between this year and last year
      - Gloves are a bit smaller
      - Baserunners round bases

Are there foul tips? Are there noticeably enough to boost up the pitch count a little more?

Do broken bats occur randomly, or will they occur when you hit it on the wrong part of the bat? Do broken bats affect the hits?

                  Are there new homerun cutscenes?

Do any people that had signature batting stances last year have different ones? Like Jacque Jones, Jason Giambi, Ken Griffey Jr., or Gary Sheffield? (those four were rather off)

During automatic K-Zone replays, will Miller and Hudler ever comment on it?

Does looking at the baserunner (with L1 on PS2 and L trigger on Xbox) intimidate the CPU this year? Last year, I only used it for laughs when he looked at second.

Is Ravech REALLY that deep in the game? Are there nightly wrapups and highlights?

Will rookies only have generic batting stances (Low, Medium, High, Closed, and Open), or will they have others?

Does the PS2 version have self-shadowing on the players?

Do you feel that people are being prejudice to this game, or is the gameplay feel really what we have already seen?

Will the PlayStation 2 version support 480p this year?

Will batters still distort their heads after the pitcher selects a pitch? That looked rather funky sometimes (ESPECIALLY with Fernando Viña, he was a standstill at the plate until his head tilted).

Does the momentum meter carry on game-to-game, or is it just for that individual game?

When we create a pitcher and put him into franchise mode, will he start out with 200 walks again?

                  Are there more crowd heckles?

Is there a trading block? Can you talk people out of retirement? Can you re-negotiate contracts before their last year?

In the All Star Game, will players wear their individual jerseys, or will they all wear one jersey?

Is the World Series atmosphere improved? In terms of logos on the field, crowd reaction, player celebration, commentator raections, etc.?

Is there an audio name database this year? Like, if I wanted to edit a fake player or create a player, will you have a programming code where the announcers will say their last name that you changed/created it to be?

Is the Yankee Blue the only blue that was changed? The Braves and Red Sox weren't SO great either.

Does the sports ticker run while you are playing the game like ESPN Basketball, or is it like ESPN Football where it shows after every play or whatever?

Is there different/better organ music this year? Do certain players get specific walkup music?

Will we have to go through a pool of coaches to draft from for franchise mode this year?

Not sure how much you know on the stadiums, but I wanted to know the following:

-Do retractable roof stadiums ever vary as to have an opened or closed roof?

-Do you have permission to give stadiums such as Olymipc Stadium, Tropicana Field, or Comerica Park a lesser crowd? It often times annoyed me last year to have them have packed houses.

-Is there still traffic in backgrounds of some stadiums? That was pretty cool.

-Are there "splash hits" at SBC Park and "river hits" at PNC Park? Like, either will it sploosh (rather than bounce on the water ala ASB and MVP), will there be replays or cutscenes to show it (ala Home Run King), or will the announcers comment on it (ala Kruk and Kuip during a Giants game), or will the water hit tracker increase?

Are the stadiums ACTUALLY larger, or do they just appear that way from the camera angles?

-Are we still limited to just the warning track (on manual replays) with our little focus cursor? I heard we can now change the FOV in manual replays also (with the right-analog stick), is that true?

You don't have to answer all of these. Heck, if you're too busy, you don't have to answer ANY of these. I'm just a concerned young fellow.

Alright, I've been dreading this one.

Duel - I'll talk about it more later
Foul tips - no, but there are fouls into the backstop.
Broken bats - depends on where on the bat the ball hits. The hit is affected by the broken bat
HR Cutscenes - yes, there are new ones
Signature batting - I think Sheffield has changed, don't think the other ones have
K-Zone - Yes, there is commentary
Looking at baserunners - I don't think it will make him get back to base, but it makes him less likely to steal. It's primary use is against human opponents (and for laughs, yes)
Ravech - does the game intros...that's it. We had a wrapup thing planned, but that time got eaten up by network play.
Rookies - I think they can have other stances, but they're less common.
                  No self Shadowing on PS2
I think people will like the game more once they've actually played it. A game that you enjoy 6 months from now may not be the one that looks best on paper or in Media Player.
                  No 480p for PS2
Batters still tilt their heads to look at the ball. For some batters this looks pretty odd.
Confidence carries over from game to game, but it tends toward the middle...so if it was all the way down at the end of one game, you'd start the next game some of the way down.
The 200 walk bug is fixed
There are new heckles this year.
No trading block, talking out of retirement, or re-negotiating contracts before the last year.
All-Star team jersey. Not enough memory to have all 30 team textures loaded at once.
Not really involved with art and audio so I can't say.
No audio for fake name guys.
Don't know about the colors being the right shade, not too involved with art.
Ticker comes up on idle by default, and you can set it to always on if you want. Not sure how other games handle this, but the games on the ticker progress as your game does, and if you're in a franchise or season, the scores are real scores (I remember playing a vesrion of NCAA Football and this not being the case, not sure if that's changed or what other games do).
Don't know about the music, don't pay attention to it and not involved with audio design.
There's an option to have a management draft or to just have teams start out with coaches. They start out with coaches by default.

                  Can't answer stadium questions, except...
You won't see balls landing in the water. The announcers may talk about it, though.
The stadiums were not too small last year. If you assumed that a player was 6'2", took his height, and used that to measure the dimesions of the field, you'd find that they were correct. We've changed the camera a little bit; this may help the stadiums look a little bigger.
I think you're a bit less limited in manual replay with where you can go, but not a lot. You can change the FOV by moving the right stick up and down. I think it's pretty cool.

I think you're a bit less limited in manual replay with where you can go, but not a lot. You can change the FOV by moving the right stick up and down. I think it's pretty cool.

Can you let us in on this "Duel Mode"?

It's definitely geared toward realism. We don't take control away from you and force the outcomes to be realistic, but we provide enough options and sliders that you should be able to get a realistic game regardless of your ability with the controller.

We've also added features to make the game more enjoyable in terms of arcade play and strategy, but I think these additions enhance the realism rather than taking away from it.
