FatPitcher,
My question for you is I wanted to know if you read the recent article at IGN.com regarding their playing a 93% build and that they felt that the game is taking a step back from recent year's additions? I can't link very well but i'll try. Just wanted to know your opinion.

Actually, I quite honestly think that they (by they I mean Jon Robinson (no relation)) only didn't like two modes, which were the Duel Mode and FPM. I honestly believe that while FPM has its many flaws this year, they aren't spending enough time with it. It took me up until a month ago until I start to now only play FPM in ESPN Football... I rarely ever play 3rd person now... people take one review (and the word "gimmick"), give it a try, and give their opinion BEFORE trying it... no self-esteem.
As for the Duel Mode, I'm not liking it TOO much (I think the hitter may have a big advantage and will spend too much time at the plate), however, Jon called it "laughable". Care to explain, Jon? It didn't sound very bad, but if it's just another unrealistic mode, not to mention replacing Big League Challenge, then I see the disappointment in it, but I don't see where it is on the lines of "laughable".
The only other things that they said was that this game will be very pleasing to lovers of WSB 2K3's gameplay, because it is that with the fixes and many add-ons (turbo, confidence meter, pitching meter, zone hitting, GameCastm etc.). In order to get a more in-depth analysis and to further narrow down the choices, I figure that we may need to either watch more videos, get some other opinions, or play it ourselves.

Jon Robinson from IGN is the one who made that 'sega fanboy' comment last summer, fyi.
