    Fatpitcher,

I haven't seen anything mentioned about whether you can hide the Effort meter when playing against a human, and NOT online. I like the idea of the meter I just don't think the other person should be able to tell whether you are about to zing a fastball with some extra Oompf by him.

    Thanks,
    Xoryn

      Re: Any questions?

Thanks for lots of info and effort answering questions, Fatpitcher. I just have to make the comment that the camera angle last year killed the game for me. I want to see the stadiums when I hit a towering fly ball, not see the camera tracking along towards the ground. It's very claustrophobic and takes away from the "feel" of being at the ballparks. You guys have the best looking graphics, show them off a little!

            Re: Any questions?

Hey, I'll answer some more questions in about a week or so. I'm on vacation for the time being.

One thing to note: a lot of stuff that you guys want is stuff I'd like to do as well, but in this year's game and going forward, we don't really have much say in the overall design. Your best bet would be to give your feedback to VC--I'm guessing that the best place to do that would be on the Wishlist forum on ESPN Videogames.

That is definitely the best place. I recommend this to those passionate about wanting an improved game in the future. Instead of complaining and crying about stuff....get active and come up with things that'll make the game better. I've been pretty active in this regard for ESPN NFL Football over the last year and thats only because I know VC will listen to fan feedback and suggestions and try their best to implement something that improves the game. Trust me guys, its worth it.

I'm a big fan of the High Heat series ( 2002 especially) so what I am looking for is basically this:

Would you say the walks, K's and fundamentals of this game are done well? I just recently tried MVP which was a let down for me regarding these aspects so i'm hoping WSB comes through

In answer to your question...based on last year's WSB, I would say that ESPN is going to handle walks and strikeouts much better than MVP. I really like MVP2004, but it does have some issues...walks being one of them. Steals is the other. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed, since all the previews made this game out to be almost perfect. The CPU swings at just about every strike...the walks are almost nonexistant...and steals ARE non existant. I would say that ESPN is much more solid in all those areas. Another thing that WSB did very well was handle it's roster(lineups and rotations) when changes needed to be made. I'm talking about callups and such..not the on field moves(which I think MVP does VERY well).
Hope this helps...and good luck Grog.
