I just tried multiple times to reproduce this in a real game situation, and it does not happen.

Which is odd, you would assume Situation uses the same logic as in-game logic.

It actually does happen in real games.

Two guys that I have an incredible amount of respect for have weighed in on ESPN Baseball.

Dan Clarke, one of the guys who was involved in starting this very website and Bill Abner, a long time sports game reviewer for practically every major gaming site on the net have given their initial opinions of the game.

Both of their comments are a good read and let me tell you fellows, when these guys speak, E.F. Hutton listens.

I've been reading both of these guys' stuff for a long time and I don't think I've ever seen them say anything that wasn't right on the money.

You respect these guys? Why, because it says what you want to hear?

Gotta be honest, their writing style is limp, their reasoning, flawed, and their taste in games is speaks to someone with little to no real sports experience. Most likely coach potatoes that have never played a sport in their lives.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Yeah, I respect them...they've both been around a long time and I've never known either one of them to tell it any other way than the way it is. As a freelancer, Bill has written reviews for practically every major gaming site out there and Dan Clarke was one of the original guys here at OS when it first started.

Before you come in here and spew your typcial venemous hate, go read a few reviews written by Bill Abner and tell me that he says anything other than the truth. What's more, both Bill and Dan actually understand sports games, unlike yourself, and look at what's under the hood in a sports game...not just at all the fluff companies try and use to cover up the flaws.

I'm not even sure why you even posted in this thread, but I've noticed that practically everytime you post anything it's usually insulting someone other than staying on topic. Hopefully the mods are seeing this too, because I've never seen you offer anything worthwhile to any thread.
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. I know Patsfan loves MVP and hates ESPN, so why post here? It servers no purpose. Maybe there is a third out bug in non-sitational modes, but Patsfan is one of the few to have seen it so it holds no credibility IMO.

Anyhow, just my .02. Why waste time on a forum when the discussion is regarding a game that you hate?

I agree 100%. He's nothing more than an instigator and hopefully the mods will see it and give his *** a little vacation or at least a warning.

I bought ASB 2005...I thought it was an awful game and I said so in the ASB forum, but once I returned the game, I have had no reason to post in that forum again.

It's people like Patsfan that cause what a lot of people feel is over moderation in these forums, but look what you would have if there were no moderators...troublemakers like him would be able to do what they wish and ruin it for a lot of people.

You know, I just did a little research on our friend Patsfan and it seems like his last 25 posts or so have been in this forum. A little odd seeing how he hates the game. Anyway, here is a sampling of his "contributions" to this forum:

I'm sorry that you want to like ESPN, but I'm not sorry for my opinion of the game. And please, for my edification, what's your problem with my assertion that ESPN is the 2nd best baseball game this year?

What are you yapping about? No one said the game is rushed and then left it at that. We all know games, specifically sports games with lots of competition, are rushed to make deadlines and thefore are released with known glitches. The point of the post of mine you quoted was that a glitch that directly affects the scoring/outcome of a game is completely unacceptable. I can live with MVP's player progression problems because I don't sim seasons(I only play one season at a time anyway), and I could live with ESPN's lousy animations and terrible audio, but potentially losing a game because of scoring mistakes is where I draw the line. No game is perfect, but there should be a base level of competency that we should all expect

I played plenty of first person baseball, and it's TERRIBLE. A waste of development time.

I could go on and on, but the guy is just full of compassion and charm. It's odd that he still spends so much time here since he returned the game two days ago.

I'm not even sure why you even posted in this thread, but I've noticed that practically everytime you post anything it's usually insulting someone other than staying on topic. Hopefully the mods are seeing this too, because I've never seen you offer anything worthwhile to any thread.

You know, I just did a little research on our friend Patsfan and it seems like his last 25 posts or so have been in this forum. A little odd seeing how he hates the game. Anyway, here is a sampling of his "contributions" to this forum:

Are you saying that we're only allowed to follow the pack mentality? Does that mean you're a liar or you're "hired by one of the other companies" if you don't like Madden?

Well hopefully the mods will take care of him.
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

Both of their comments are a good read and let me tell you fellows, when these guys speak, E.F. Hutton listens.
